1. DA with Orange light cutting pad with Optimum Polish 3k rpm

2. DA with Blue Finishing pad with Optimum Polish or AIO 2k Rpm

3. SG by hand.

4. OCW by hand.

Am i doing it right? Really appreciate any comments so can level up my detailing skill.

My arsenal

----------

Optimum Polish

Optimum Compound

Klasse AIO and SG

OCW

Bosch 270

The result is still ok and it still beads after 2-3 downpours but I'm still not getting the slickness or "oilyness" like after those professional grooming centres.

Could it be i need something like carnuaba wax or something? haha really like that oily layer feeling on my car.

Use Optimum compound with your orange pad to remove defects.

If there's any hazing (but i doubt so) use your OP with blue pad to remove the haze.

OC / OP should prep your car for LSP ready.

carefully about using OCW after SG. Apply OCW AFTER SG. Never use OCW 1st then SG. And you should allow SG to cure before applying OCW. Give it a good 8-12 hours.

The oilyness that grooming shop give your car may be some glaze products. If you want slickness, try to get your hands on some FX 100 or 425... [nod][nod]

I have found that using OCW, the oily or slick feeling is not much.

This is my own experience lah just applied today only.

Apparently OCW cures in 24 hours so mabe u can molest ur car 1 day later see if the situation improves.

Any carnauba wax will gif u the slick feeling, if all else fails.. look no further -> FK425..

Actually I tried Orange pad with OP and it already seems to cause slight hazing. is that alright? Only removed the hazing when i clear it up with Blue pad and OP.

haven't really used the Op compound yet though.

yeah, i definitely SG before OCW. =)

oh btw, what does glaze do anyway? makes the surface oily, slick and additional protection? I always thought SG and OCW should be sufficient..hahaha maybe haven't level up my skill yet. hahaha

I've used OCW a few times and it certainly can't give me the slickness I want. Maybe I'm asking the wrong results from the wrong products.

Hm...Can FK425 replace OCW? Its a QD right? Btw, based on your experience, how long can the slickness last for 425?

And I suppose the FX100 can replace SG since its supposed to be a sealant right? =)

Hi !

I have tried OCW ==> I also cannot feel the slickness :(

Next, FX100 cannot replace Klasse SG. FX100 is just a booster sealant.

The best I have tried so far wil be:

(1) AIO

(2) SG x 3 layers ==> It take times but the protection is worth it :)

(3) FX100

(4) 425

Now I maintain my car by 425 [thumbsup]

Yesterday, after heavy downpour, I clean my car with clean water and then apply 425.

The car paint work become smooth and shiny again [sunny][thumbsup]

wah...my usual normal detailing session already takes me around 2 - 3 hours....

I'm thinking if i add another 2 processes of FX100 and 425...think my lady [gorgeous][rifle][angel] might kill me. hahahah

Can I check if can I use 425 without the FX100? 425 is just Spray on and wipe off right? =)

Hi ! EKAE05.

You should seek Marcos Tan advices on how to detail your ride.

Once you learn the correct way, you will spend less time detailing your ride and still achieved the slickness.

Your lady will love you more because you can spend more time with her :)

Bro EKAE05,

Only the full detailing take you 2-3 hours and this is need to do every six months.

The most important is the weekly wash + maintance and it take less than an hour.

Hi bro MarcosTan,

so what do you suggest I change from my usual routine?

Is the RPM right? Am i supposed to add another FX100 or can I just add 425?

Or is there something else I can use instead? Prefer to add maybe 1 or 2 products to my arsenal....not too many till I get confused myself...haha

thanks in Advance! =)

Bro EKAE05,

I think u're Klasse user, if yes then u just stick with SG.

What I suggest is:

Do a full detailing first:

1. wash

2. clay

3. AIO x 1

4. SG x 3 (with 12 hours apart).

Now your ride shall be super shiny.

Then, weekly maintance with a wash and a layer of 425.

Monthly, I usually do a light claybarring after a good wash then a layer of SG.

So, put it simple :

3 week wash + 425

1 week wash + light claybarring + KSG

Repeat it monthly and you only need to do another full detailing after 12 months.

FX100 & 425 is only optional, if u are after the feeling of slick, then u sure love

both of it. Otherwise, there's not bad only use Klasse to keep your ride shiny.

Just my 2 cents,

MarcosTan

Bro EKAE05,

Optimum & Compound is used to correct some defect, and I believe it can be use when

u do a full detailing.

By the way I dun hv DA and I'm doing everything by hand, furthermore I start to take

care my ride from the first day I got the key. It do hv some scratches & swirl marks

& it's not easy to take it out by hand. What I can do is try to keep my ride shine

shine so ppl cannot easily to see it [laugh]

No experience with CG's products, can't give any comments.

Cheers,

MarcosTan
