Oil Change 5w20

You can even mix and match different wt engine oils, provided it is the same series. For e.g. Redline 5w20 and 10w30 is OK.

So definitely not an issue changing wt of engine oil bet oil changes.

"Oil consumption" mean excessive oil sip pass piston ring, thus you have to top up engine oil very often. Not oil leakage.

No problem with a switch of brand or viscosity in every oil change.

maybe... strawberrypink's ride is a getz... but seriously doesn't mean ur oil thinner, you get better mileage... if its too thin, strawberry she can scrap her car early.. [lipsrsealed] due to premature death of engine.. this is not covered in warranty coz GETZ recommended engine oil is definitely NOT w20 oil... my tomyam says w30 okie.. but then i am going to use a w40 oil for 10k servicing instead...

from what i know from people driving a getz... its real thirsty man... that's why these cars were out when i was sourcing for a ride... i need GOOD fc cars... coz my mileage is like 70-80km on a normal weekday basis.... [thumbsup]

39l for 665km of mileage...

this is what i call [thumbsup] tok kong mileage!

Who tell you Getz recommended engine oil is definitely not w20? Before you sound so confident, i suggest you do some proper checking. [shakehead][shakehead][shakehead]. Or you want me to scan the Getz manual and post it here for you to see?

Don't be too smart sometimes, be humble instead.

Though i agree with you that Getz fc is not fantastic but its not drastic, with some easy driving and light foot you can easily achieve 13km/l and this is for the auto.

Hi trex,

check with you on the following:

i am currently using 10w30.

Now i have changed my coolent to Redline Water Wetter with distilled water only.. If my radiator water temperature is kept at below 91 degreeC at most time due to better transfer of heat by WW,

does it mean that if i change to a thinner oil like 5w20 or 0w20, the "boiling" point of the thinner oil will much be the same as 10w30? or maybe i should rephrase as 10w30 will not go up much higher so its the same as 5w20 or 0w20...

jst need a personal opinion from u with yr experience.. dun really have to be correct, thanks
