Daryl Neutral Newbie October 6, 2006 Share October 6, 2006 . Sorry if I'm posting twice, not sure which catergory this question falls under. Does anyone know if there are Car PCs / Carputers available in singapore? I heard there's a Mac version called MobyCar, but are there others too? Maybe Windows versions or others? . ↡ Advertisement

Normal_aspirated Clutched October 9, 2006 Share October 9, 2006 (edited) Checkout this webby: http://www.customcarputers.com/about_us.php A Carputer is a computer in a vehicle. It operates the same as the computer that you are reading this web site on. Most systems use the Windows XP operating system, with the capabilities of adding any software compatible with Windows. Integrating special software packages will open you to a world in your vehicle that you thought never possible. Imagine the possibilities just a touch away. A touch screen monitor that will allow the ease of selecting a desired operation. A powerful mini computer with your choice of memory capacities. A capacity that can be upgraded just as easily as you would upgrade your system at home. A host of software packages that will allow your driving experience to reach an all new dimension; Navigation software to guide you on your way, hundreds of music files for your listening pleasure, DVD movies just a touch away, OBDII functions to read your cars ECU functions, Internet access with a wireless unit and many more options. What you desire is truly what you get. Each system can be individualized for your enjoyment. Multiple drivers for one vehicle, no problem. Your system can be set up to operate just as your system at home, setting it up for several users for one computer, each having there own username and account. It will revolutionise the ICE for cars industry........will it??? Edited October 9, 2006 by Normal_aspirated
Daryl Neutral Newbie October 10, 2006 Author Share October 10, 2006 . Thanks for the replies! customCarputers seems to be an American based company. I found a few others in US and Europe, but I was wondering if there were any in singapore? I know about mobyCar, but that's Apple Mac, looking for PC versions. Thanks! . Daryl Neutral Newbie October 10, 2006 Author Share October 10, 2006 . Thanks Yamrxz, yeah I'm looking for Carputers / Car PCs like those you linked. However, the one from sg.hardwarewone.com only sells the computer casings without a complete package. And the www.logicsupply.com is based in North America. I'm wondering if there's anyone / any companies in Singapore that do complete Car PCs / Carputers? .
Yanuk Neutral Newbie October 10, 2006 Share October 10, 2006 my guess is that it hasn't caught on yet. Until someone actually installs them and shows around the wonders of using it probably there will be more willing to install. ↡ Advertisement
