Unwanted Neutral Newbie January 14, 2002 Share January 14, 2002 (edited) I don't really find it "sticky" lar It is so far the longest lasting one i tried Armorall tyre foam, the multipurpose white bottle one(forgot name), STP son of gun all not lasting one rain is all it take to turn the tyre white again... Do U find the meguair's rubber treatments a tad too sticky? It's gel based right? Voxy28 3rd Gear January 14, 2002 Share January 14, 2002 Hi guys, new to the forum. BTW I use Finish First and find it very good. The shine also last kind of long, ~ 3months for a single coat. It is also pretty easy to apply and buff since only one coat is needed, not as complex as Zaino. I even use it on the windscreen and now the wiper sweeps cleanly without any shudder. I heard about Klasse in VWVortex and tend to agree about the shine it produce. May switch over once I finish my FF. So Turbo, how long you take to apply this stuff and how long it will last?? Zen Neutral Newbie January 14, 2002 Share January 14, 2002 (edited) edwin (voxy28), guess what ... I am now FF convert ... will use it after my contract with current grooming package ends this month. Not that the current product is lousy, I think the groomer has done a great deal maintaining my paint job, but after assessing the price that I am paying for FF diy and the groomer, versus the effort required to diy ... I think my decision is very clear :) meguair tyre polish is great (purple bottle) .. it last weeks as per claimed, and not days.. the only problem is too much of the gel, you will get the excess splatter onto the door .. which is no big deal, easily wash off. Anyway, is there a good wax/polish for my car's paint job that is easy to apply, hopefully dont have to polish like mad to get the shine (you know what I mean if you want more than one layer). BTW guys, any good and reliable workshop to repair damaged bodywork? Another car reversed into my boot the other day. Small dent, ard the size of 2 50cents coins.
