Hi Guys ...usually i dread polishing and waxing cos it's tedious ......but recently i tried the Turtle express shine - cheap and very very easy to apply and buff ...

i spend half a day polishing and claying my ride and applied 2 coats of synthetic wax (3M) then subsequent days i applied the turtle express shine one coat every 20 hours ....now they lasts so long! ....

Cut and paste from the product description... hahah

No rubbing or buffing required - just apply and wipe dry for a brilliant shine

Leaves no powdery residue on trim

Contains Brazilian Carnauba Wax for a durable long lasting shine

Safe for all finishes including metallics and clearcoats

I just use a detailing microfibre cloth, spray (mist) and then wipe ....for a single bonnet - took me less than 2 mins for a single coat ....real easy ... i am a happy man now ....

BTW can get from Giant super market $10.90

Ha talking about swirl marks...i had MAJOR Swirl marks on my ride ...even a polishing shop told me ...not likely can be removed ....

but i dont think that wax can remove it ....but i managed to get almost 99% marks gone with this product!:

so interesting.. what are the real steps for a good shine? wash .. dry apply and buff only? what's the 4th layer thing? when we apply wax.. we need to apply sealant too rite? and do we need to leave the wax for a period of time on the vehicle?where can i get the spray wax? i cannot find them in ntuc...

Neutral Newbie

hi bro.... me not detailing pro... but think this product(color cure) doesn't remove yr swirls.... only 'covers' it.... cos u buy this products according to yr ride color and u apply them onto yr car, it sorts of 'cover' up yr swirls... keep on applying it u won't see the swirls but once u stop.... u will c them... Nice shine Bro [thumbsup]

Liquid wax is much more easier to work with as compared to paste wax but the latter could give us a better depth shine IMHO [;)]

Finally, it's no much back breaking exercise for you when you detail your ride [:)]

Bro, as far as i know, normal polishing by hand can only hide the swirls and maybe removing a bit of it but definately unable to remove thoroughly [nod][nod][nod]

You need a machine to totally eliminate the swirls [;)]

Very true....hand polishing will only use some products to fill the swirls but machine polishing will be able to remove it permanently. Engage the pro for swirl removal or alternatively look for Maddriver.....think he's experience enough. [thumbsup]

i read somewhere (can't remember where now) that to minimise swirls when waxing by hand, we should not use circular motion ... rather we should use parallel strokes when applying the wax.

I tried this method on my bonnet .... so far so good!!

Any comments on this method of wax application?
