Humsuplou Neutral Newbie October 29, 2006 Share October 29, 2006 (edited) Hi Guys ...usually i dread polishing and waxing cos it's tedious ......but recently i tried the Turtle express shine - cheap and very very easy to apply and buff ... i spend half a day polishing and claying my ride and applied 2 coats of synthetic wax (3M) then subsequent days i applied the turtle express shine one coat every 20 hours ....now they lasts so long! .... http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/rodi_1919_17822629 Edited October 29, 2006 by humsuplou ↡ Advertisement

Ken1898 1st Gear October 29, 2006 Share October 29, 2006 So how does it works? Spary on the body & use a cloth to wipe off only?
Humsuplou Neutral Newbie October 29, 2006 Author Share October 29, 2006 Cut and paste from the product description... hahah No rubbing or buffing required - just apply and wipe dry for a brilliant shine Leaves no powdery residue on trim Contains Brazilian Carnauba Wax for a durable long lasting shine Safe for all finishes including metallics and clearcoats I just use a detailing microfibre cloth, spray (mist) and then wipe ....for a single bonnet - took me less than 2 mins for a single coat ....real easy ... i am a happy man now .... Captain_redbeard Neutral Newbie October 29, 2006 Share October 29, 2006 so interesting.. what are the real steps for a good shine? wash .. dry apply and buff only? what's the 4th layer thing? when we apply wax.. we need to apply sealant too rite? and do we need to leave the wax for a period of time on the vehicle?where can i get the spray wax? i cannot find them in ntuc... Sash7 Neutral Newbie October 29, 2006 Share October 29, 2006 (edited) hi bro.... me not detailing pro... but think this product(color cure) doesn't remove yr swirls.... only 'covers' it.... cos u buy this products according to yr ride color and u apply them onto yr car, it sorts of 'cover' up yr swirls... keep on applying it u won't see the swirls but once u stop.... u will c them... Mzrmazda3 6th Gear October 30, 2006 Share October 30, 2006 Nice shine Bro Liquid wax is much more easier to work with as compared to paste wax but the latter could give us a better depth shine IMHO Finally, it's no much back breaking exercise for you when you detail your ride
Ngweibing Neutral Newbie October 30, 2006 Share October 30, 2006 nice job.. anyone knwos what product can removed SWIRL marks? my swirl marks can ebe seen when under direct sunlight.. very bad
Mzrmazda3 6th Gear October 30, 2006 Share October 30, 2006 Bro, as far as i know, normal polishing by hand can only hide the swirls and maybe removing a bit of it but definately unable to remove thoroughly You need a machine to totally eliminate the swirls
Ivan96935sg Neutral Newbie October 30, 2006 Share October 30, 2006 Very true....hand polishing will only use some products to fill the swirls but machine polishing will be able to remove it permanently. Engage the pro for swirl removal or alternatively look for Maddriver.....think he's experience enough.
Crazybugger 1st Gear October 30, 2006 Share October 30, 2006 i read somewhere (can't remember where now) that to minimise swirls when waxing by hand, we should not use circular motion ... rather we should use parallel strokes when applying the wax. I tried this method on my bonnet .... so far so good!! Any comments on this method of wax application?
Ivan96935sg Neutral Newbie October 30, 2006 Share October 30, 2006 for me, i still apply in circular motion so that the application is evenly spread thr out the entire car......... ↡ Advertisement
