Hi Bro,

Yes.. that pix is not about centre speaker. I was just joking with Hyun that perhaps with additional speakers, you may be more confused to get the soundstage and imaging right.

Hi Bro,

Sure can use this image... it's useful for example illustration.

Yup.. no issue.

So the challenge is to get C and RC into their respective places without switching the position switch from driver's position to passenger's position.

For my case using Pioneer P80 HU, there is a position switch that I can get the left passenger to get the same soundstage and imaging as the driver's seat.

The challenge is to have the the same soundstage position, L, LC, C, RC & R in their respective position, with both judges sitting in drivers & passengers seat at the same time. ie.. we both hear the same soundstage.

If your P80 can do that... [thumbsup][thumbsup] it'll save us hours of tuning.

Yup.. this is the challenge and my P80 has no short cut in that.. see reply below.

Nope... both judges sitting in drivers & passengers seat at the same time, only 1 can hear 1 setting at any one time. That means when the passenger wants to hear, then you switch to his position for him to hear. After that, when the driver wants to hear again, you switch it to the driver's position. So it's nope.. my P80 cannot have both hear the same soundstage AT THE SAME TIME..

Neutral Newbie

ah. INTO the dash. some cars the stock position got in-dash speakers. like mine, in each corner of the dash. staging sounds quite nice in stock setup but i was afraid to use the same position cos if i'm just focusing on one-seat SQ i won't wanna simply just use reflection for nothing.

but for 2-seat SQ with long pathlength a benefit, DEEP in-dash mounting (a certain distance dug inside the dash, to equalise as much as possible the 2 pathlengths) ... maybe that's how it's done? the tunneling into the dash acts to guide the wave up, and soon it hits the windscreen and reflects.
