Joetan23 Neutral Newbie March 8, 2007 Share March 8, 2007 For used car price listed, how much can be discounted? For a 1 year old car, shouldn't the loss by the 1st owner be the most (like 10-15k for mid range cars)? I have visited some used cars website and found that some of the price list are just slightly below new car price. Example http://www.sgcarmart.com/main/info-2EfnBJAb-1089.html this 5-6mths old used Grandis is listed at $80,888. I believe we can reduce it to $79-80k. But can it go further? The COE is 14k + which is around the price of the COE result yest. The new car price for Grandis release today is $84,988. So if someone buy the used Grandis at 79-80k, it is only saving like 6-7k for a 2.4L? The interest rate for used car is prob 0.5% higher and if loan 70% over 7 yrs...the interest is already higher by ard 2k...so overall only save 4-5k for a used car which cannot choose colour or get freebies from SE and have to risk if the car could have an accident b4 or not? Can anyone enlighten me? ↡ Advertisement
