hi, i'm ride is '03 sti. izzit HKS BOV sound e same? wanna change a BOV any other comment? btw cave care to intro where to mod to get e bes job done?

The best is get the adjustable one...like Go Fast Bits Stealth BOV which can

adjust to recirculate of vent out. Im using one now and if i want the sound,

just twist the BOV. Then get sound and suffer FC but if not jus twist to full

recirculate like the OEM BOV. There are other BOV like the Stealth too but

price will be bout $450.

 

GFB enables 2 adjustable functions on their BOV. Amount of air VTA as well as spring tension.

 

Keep the stock one. They hold boost really well. You won't need any sort of aftermarket BOV unless you run on high boost.

HKS BOV has a sharp pitch that sound like a whistle. SSQV is a pull type rather than conventional push type set up. I didn't quite like the previous generation of SSQV because at 1.4 bar, I have found it to VTA too quickly.

 

It is a full atmosphere vented BOV which means you may or may not run into problems with the car stalling. AFM gets confused when no air passes through.

 

Stick to stock. It holds stock boost really well.
