Am asking for $150 for the whole set. Bought brand new from Stamford Tyres one over year ago.

 

The VW logo has been removed so its a rim w/o a brand now. ie. you can stick other names on the rim.

I just bought a new wiper set from Xinzhong last Saturday and whilst at it, I also bought another two bottles of Coolant. The new coolant is G12plus (purple colour) and cost S$12/-each. Each bottle is 1.5 litres.

 

I have a bottle of the old G12 (pink) that I would like to sell off. Although Xinzhong said that I could mix coolant types, I reckon it will be safer to stick to one type. Besides the potential problem with the coolant properties, mixing pink and purple would look strange too!!

Yar... better dun mix as the content may interfere each other. Since U're not mixing, that mean U'll flush away the existing G12 in radiator ??

What is the size of Octy's wiper blades? Can those for Jap car be used?

Just use the tape measure to physically measure the wipers......u'd better be accurate cos some cars have different sizes for the laft & right wipers.

be careful.... i tried to buy off the shelf and found that it cannot fit... and further more I damage it while changing. SO in the end buy the original one... freaking expensive

Yes, I will be draining the radiator. Anyway, coolants are normally good for about two years only. My car will be 1-1/2 years old on the next servicing, so either I do it then or the servicing after that.

 

As I said, I have a bottle of G12 to sell, so if there is anyone that is short of a bottle, let me know, ok?

sorry bro, how many bottles do you need for changing the entire radiator content?

 

when I change mine, i just dump in one bottle.

Skodaman u never read the manual & do the simple calculation . For Faby the coolant tank is 6L (From manual) and the min. % of mixture is 40% . Therefore, abt 2 bottle needed.(1.5L each) For Oct should be more.

oh... never know need so much coolant. All I know coolant is to prevent rust and clogging. Do we need to add so much coolant? since no winter here we dun need the anti-freeze properties?

 

Some expert please enlighten me.

No sure whether lower ratio is enough prevent rust. But since coolant price is much cheaper that radiator, I would just follow the instruction for peace of mind.
