Best is to bring your own oil filter too...

Mine: Own oil, Own filter ($6). Labour for changing = RM10.

Although some workshop may charge cheaply for their labour, but all they do is just change your engine oil and filter. They don't check the rest of the things, such as the condition of your brakes, timing belt, etc. This goes the same for most workshops in Singapore too.

In the agent workshop, thought they may be more expensive, but they have to follow a set of servicing procedures given by the car manufacturer. So the car has a higher chance of being check thoroughly.

My question is, by just changing engine oil and filter, is it consider enough for normal servicing? Or should more be done at each servicing interval.

ya...u rite.u have to know the mechanic there or someone introduce u then its quite a bargain.i always go to my mechanic for normal servicing or change parts.

eg:belting here about $160(parts only),JB cost M$165 plus labour.ive changed the belt for almost a yr n no problem with the belting.so,the choice is urs.also i changed my engine oil there n cost me M$68 for Pennzoil semi-synthetic,oil filter and coolant [thumbsup] .if anyone spot a car with a Pennzoil sticker on the right rear, hey its me. If you are really into kiasee.

2. Do thorttle body cleanign every 50,000Km

3. Tighten grounding points.

4. Clean engine (like mine so clean [laugh] ), getting away the grim.

5. Touch up under-carriage

6. Rubberise Wheel Arches.

7. Do Contact cleaning for ignition coils and electrical parts.
