there are different makes and model. if the internal electrical components are not as good then it is very to rely on it to work.

best to stick to good brand or known brands.

my own experinces for driving long distance to KL with the ionizer is that it made me felt fresher and more awake.

i googled later, i believe the answer is the similar anion effects found in the water fall and after the thunder storms.

anyone used it during a long drive. please share with me your feelings as i like to confirm what i discovered. [gossip]

thanks, [thumbsup]

bro, i think it works. just have to choose carefully with the make and the brand. that is all.

the anion effects and the ability of ozones are known in the scientific world.

google the terms, it is quite comprehensive.

good luck searching. [;)]

negative ions, aka anions, are the ions that are negatively charged.

we are best living in alkaline condition. however, due to the food and the environment we live in, we tend to be more acidic.

these anions shall neturalize many of those positive charges which are harmful to us. by providing a anion enviroment it will allow us a better environment.

as for the ozone, it is known long ago to be a really strong sterilant. in fact, i saw some where that it is some more 3,000 stronger than the ability of chlorine.

just google around this. i think you will find more information about this.

cheers, [nod]

bro,

i think you might got a not good one.

the life time as i knew in most of these electrical components tend to be about 2000 hours.

i think the best model ionizer that i had seen so far are the ones from carmate, japan, and double air ionizer, tw.

i got both, and i think the double air ionizer is cheaper and works just fine as it has SGS certifications to prove the effectiveness and the amounts of ozone generated, too.

if i can find the SGS certs soon, i shall post them for your reference.

yo stash,

i think you got a really good point. [hur][nod]

anyhow, i highly recommend everyone don't put any air refreshner, aka car perfume, in your car for health reason.

think about it, how much does it cost and what kind of ingredient they can put in it?

i learnt it is the case especially when my friend who makes car air refreshner told me he never put anything like that.....because he knows what they put inside. [idea]

he even manufacture for the really big brands in the world, too.......

how interesting right?

next time look into the ingredient list, you will see what i mean.

cheers,

yo stash,

can't be more serious about the car perfume.

my friend he had been in car perfume and accessories business for over 30 years. and he MAINLY manufacture for japanes brands.

think about the safety standards in japan!!!

he told me, as a friend and a long term friend, do not, DO NOT use car perfume.

no matter which brand, don't use it.

he mentioned, he manufactures it and why he doesn't use it, must have a reason, right?

i think u best to check the ingredient list and google it. i am sure you will find lots of information about the hazadous facts.

if you must use any perfume. i think you best to buy essential oils to put in the car. that is the most natural thing and healthy, too. however, it is VERY VERY expensive.

there are not two way about car perfume. if it is cheap, it is mostly toxins.

the other day, i sat in my friend's car with glade. 20-30 seconds, my nose felt bad. after few minutes, my throat started playing up.

i took it off from him and told him to use one of the ionizers.

this is what i think......and felt........

i guess, you must do some trials yourself.

so good luck loh~~ [:)]

i am using one. cannot really tell the difference. but its sure better than perfume, which tend to cover odours rather than eliminating it.

correctly, they neutralise the odours with the ozones. it is just like the technology that is used in hospital and any other sanitizing equipments.

they are effective and quite safe~

CAN'T AGREE MORE WITH U ABOUT CAR PERFUMES!

recently, i saw a few aromatic car freshener, i think it is a green bottle/packaging as well as a black charcoal tray, saying they are aromatic => i.e. essential oil based fresheners.

these are what you are talking about to be safe?

i shall go and get one to try and let u know if it has that stinky smell that usually irritates me and my nose, too.

I got this Double Air Mini (Black colour stick) at the Esso Station near Haw Par Villa. I think it is new model as I saw from Stamford Tyre selling at about $22.xx.

Then in this Esso, the price stated $21.xx. I thought well, give a try since only lesser by $1. To my surprise at the counter, they charge me $15.50!! BTW, when use, got abit of smell. Not chao tar or component burn smell. I have those older type which I bought 4 years ago. That one is ionizer but no ozone thingy. When use, can feel the freshness and air con colder. But this one, I dun seem to feel that but got a smell.
