Ruzhyo Clutched August 4, 2007 Share August 4, 2007 Sorry but I am not sure if this is the correct folder to post. I am looking for a good alarm system that does not cost an arm and leg. My car already comes with a smart key. Can I retro fit another alarm? Do I need to bring 2 remotes with me? Pls advice ↡ Advertisement
Ultramega 1st Gear August 5, 2007 Share August 5, 2007 depends on what functions you want. simple ones - can use back your key. multi-functional ones - may need to carry 2 remotes.
Ruzhyo Clutched August 5, 2007 Author Share August 5, 2007 1st of all, thank you for your fast reply. I have seen some alarm systems. I am interested in the ones that have sensors for glass breakage, vibrations, car being tow/jacked up, the alarm remote with the LCD that can show the status some distance away etc. Where can I find a wide range of alarm systems to choose from? Any good installer to recommand?

Kwongwing Neutral Newbie August 12, 2007 Share August 12, 2007 Most stock remotes have relatively short range - but should have at least 2 to 3 metres range at the least. Yours seem a BIT on the TOO short side - if new car should check with your agent else if you have been using the remote for some time should try changing the battery. ↡ Advertisement
