Roadrage on CTE!

Wednesday evening, around 8:50pm, CTE southbound, around 1km before the tunnel. Traffic was quite heavy as usual, around 60-70km/h on the 1st lane. Looking to the front of the whole row of cars, one can sometimes see the 'race leader', with a huge gap between it and the next car ahead.

This is just what I saw. What happens next was quite a shock to me. The 2nd car behind the 'leader' was tailgating quite closely, from what I can see (I was about 20 cars behind), when suddenly the 'leader', an MPV of some sort, jammed his brakes really really hard! This caused a chain reaction of brake lights that travelled all the way back through the traffic, its quite an interesting sight actually. No one actually came to a stop, but the chain reaction slowed down traffic immediately to around 30km/h.

When I reached that spot, I could smell the very strong, unmistakable smell of burnt rubber!

At the end of the first CTE tunnel, I don't know if its the same two cars, but they were stopped on lane1, just after the exit of the tunnel! I saw the drivers getting out of their cars as I was going past. Cars behind me were jam braking and swerving to the 2nd lane to avoid the cars.

Whatever the matter is, I think its pretty stupid to stop the car in the middle of an expressway on lane1. A highspeed pileup could easily occur, and that would NOT be pretty.

Stupid drivers.

Endangering everyone in the process. Should be hauled to the police. These should be the cases our TP should be controlling, not those hide behind the bush shenanigans to catch those going over 10km/hr on a 60km/hr road!

bro was it a white mpv?

i did ever witness one case where the road was clear for an mpv and a taxi was like 4-5 vehicles space behind the mpv and i ws about 6-7 vehicles behind the taxi. out of the blue, the mpv with nothing ahead of him jammed his brakes very hard and the taxi smashed right into his rear. luckilyi braked in time just about 1m away from the taxi. the getz behind me managed to swerve away.

is this the same mpv i wonder? always trying to cause accidents?

No, it was a blue, or some dark color one. It was night time, I was around 20 cars behind. I was just looking far ahead wondering which inconsiderate roadhogger it is holding up traffic this time when I saw the incident.

But as I flashed past the two stopped cars at the CTE tunnel, the one infront was either a Mazda2 or a Hyundai Trajet. I didn't have time to notice, cos I was busy filtering left and trying to warn the other bike behind me.

heck, issuing summons make money, ensuring smooth traffic does not earn money.

the traffice police has a new woman boss. seems this is her idea of being on the ball as new appointment.

what can i say? nobody looks after public interests. every gahmen dept just look after coffers
