Regboyboy Neutral Newbie May 14, 2003 Share May 14, 2003 I was on my way home alone just now at about 2.45AM when i was at Bukit Timah Rd at the cross junction of Bukit Timah and Bukit Panjang (Standard Charted Bank) When this black Galant swerve to the middle of the left lane so as usual i accelerated (since i was on the right lane) when he suddenly swerved back to the right lane i flicked my high beam but to no avail . As to avoid an accident because he was less then half a meter away from me i horned him and jammed my brake. So we stopped at the next traffic light and he still had the nerve to stare at me!! And my luck couldn't get any better when i saw he had a Girlfriend beside him and both started staring at me. I wish someone would teach these kind of people a lesson of putting down your pride or ego instead of getting so frustated at getting horned... . As my luck with bukit timah rd was to be challanged by other drivers this guy was no different...As soon as the lights turned green he speed off expecting me to race with him but i didn't have so much petrol to waste on him.!! The nerve of some people!!!! If you're wrong why don't you just admit it!?!? ↡ Advertisement

Presea 3rd Gear May 15, 2003 Share May 15, 2003 Wow, all you morning people.... don't need to sleep ah? Anyway, regboyboy, you did not do anything wrong, as that is "standard practice". Just one advice....next time press your horn!...if not loud enough, ask Assassin about upgrading to 137db version! I think that guy was lucky....if he met me, I won't let him get away with it. cheers, and enjoy the holiday.
Regboyboy Neutral Newbie May 15, 2003 Author Share May 15, 2003 haha i hope you get to meet him. Is 137db louder then those mercez horn??
Presea 3rd Gear May 15, 2003 Share May 15, 2003 ...should be louder, unless they modified theirs. You must ask Assassin, since he has a Mercedes, and is also quite enthusiastic about loud horns ....about that driver,...there are many others who will teach him a lesson... our MCF brothers and sisters included. Assassin Clutched May 15, 2003 Share May 15, 2003 Hi Regboyboy, Dont let such drivers spoil your day. I guess the rest of us get our fair share of such drivers on the road also. All we can do is to 'inform' these people that what they did was wrong...although there are a number [like the one you encountered] who are too stubborn or oblivious to admit fault. I would do the same as you...horn and flash [highbeam] the driver to let them know that what they are doing is wrong. Having a louder horn helps...some people can be deaf lah ... you can get them from car accessories shops like Autobacs and Concorde. Their contact details are in the Resources Folder under the Car Accessories thread... here is the link: http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=181230;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=un read#unread://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gfo...=un read#unread://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gfo...=un read#unread://http://www.mycarforum.com/forum/gfo...=un read#unread The model you should be looking for is the STEBEL Magnum TM80/2..should cost about $20 from Concorde. Thats before the 15% discount you get if you spend more than $30 there. And yes, its LTA approved. Have a good holiday and weekend.
