Recommendations for prosumer digicams

my point and shoot has manual functions, which i use.

 

my DSLR has auto functions.

 

the main difference is that DSLR has greater control. the functions are essentially similar. the principles are the same (shutter, aperture, ISO, focus or not focused). of course, DSLR is *potentially* more capable, cos of better lens.

 

correction: the DSLR is not mine. it's a camera i have loaned out for awhile .
