if you choose the sound clad, you will have to go back for yearly inspection and respraying of the sound proof material. the inspection is not free.

I think its a waste of money on sound proofing.

I did mine on all 4doors and wheel arc, car bonnet, back boot, underfloor pan. Even added sound clad. Only notice a min improvement like 10%. Using good brand like dynamat too and toff kote. Useless in absorbing sound.

Even if want to use, choose those cheap one will do.

There's only so much you csn do with passive sound proofing.

The best way is by active sound proofing as mentioned in the article below (just published)

I've been searching for the OEM ANC microphone but could not find it here. So far the only website that supplies OEM ANC microphone that I know of is a Israeli company but they did not respond to me which I guess is because they are catering for big companies, not for individuals. For those who are interested, it's as follows

www.silentium.com

As mentioned above, any bros got any recommendations? Location and price wise. and also feedback

i just saw an add, in their thread, saying to be wheel arc and fenders @ only 80???

door 80??? 4 door somemore. go and check it out bro.

But i doubt so, really. i have not think of doing it. but was told it is really effective. if you really going for it. do let me know the result. if good i will go. cos

i never seen such price for their quality.

Dynomat. also heard alot abt it. this two seems to be the top brand for end-users worldwide. they are both USA MADE but SILENT is manufacture in SG and RUSSIA.

You know, Dynomat can be order through ebay?? its cheaper compared to here. 50 per box.3pcs. enough for 2 doors. here, two doors is like 200?

I've got a sudden thought, we buy from ebay, then we go as two customer to any workshop and ask for cheap labour. am sure they will give, cos two cars. [laugh] IDEA MAN.CHEAPER then SILENT . hahahahah

Which part of the car did you do the sound clad?

1. Rubberize spray for undercarriage?

2. 4 doors?

3. Boot?

I was just thinking of doing the undercarriage but uncertain whether there will be significant improvement as well as worried that the rubberize spray get into all the nooks and crevices and cause problems later on.

Bro any idea where i can get the rubberize spray? [:)]

Sound proofing will add hell a lot of weight to yr car. So better dont sound-proof the full package aka doors, roof, engine bonnet, floor. Maybe just do the doors is good enough.

I did sound-proof of 4 doors for my lancer. Now full tank only get me 620km milage. Previously i could get 650 to 700km. [:/][:/][:/]

I cannot inmage if i did the full package. maybe reduce to 400km nia. [dizzy][dizzy][dizzy]

ebay lo. Bro, no one do spray for the boot la. i have been doing my homework on SP recently . if you want to do door, wheel arc, fenders, boot, roof, floorpan, firewall ,bonnet and boot lid. using pasting method is the most effective.

dynamat is light weight.
