Golfspin Neutral Newbie February 28, 2008 Share February 28, 2008 (edited) Hi Guys, Edix is coming to the 3rd year in Singapore. So the 1st VIACOM check is coming up. I am just concerned about failing the test for Tinted Back Windscreen come this September for mine. Any Edix owner has done their 1st Viacom check already? Cheers! Jl1500k Clutched February 28, 2008 Share February 28, 2008 I think not only Edix. All car with Tinted Back Windscreen will fail if too dark.
Princey_anne 1st Gear February 28, 2008 Share February 28, 2008 Mine is less than 2 years, but if they allow this ride to be imported there should be no issue.
Sniperben Neutral Newbie February 28, 2008 Share February 28, 2008 hey dude, if the back windscreen is not able to have at least 25% of the light going through, it won't be allow to be register on singapore road 3 years ago. so don't worry about it. unless you fix on additional solar film after the initial inspection and less the 25% of the light can pass through currently. Golfspin Neutral Newbie February 28, 2008 Author Share February 28, 2008 (edited) Haha... I am asking this questions because for a fact when I bring it in, initially there were problems. Not sure what the PI did which becomes no issues. I am just worried that the PI replace the screen to do Viacom check and after that put the Screen back before passing it to me...... haha.... Carcraze 1st Gear March 2, 2008 Share March 2, 2008 (edited) i think for most JDM PI cars, it's factory fitted with "privacy-glass". It's not really solar films. Which is why, before singapore allowed up to 75% tinting for the rear glass, you'll see Toyota Harriers with "Lexus" marked rear windows and windscreen because the PIs had to change the glass and not simply just pull out the films (there isn't any).
