well, the fact that they price their golf GT at 98K (previously 100+), they can't price the Jetta any lower right? margin has to be high being quite niche right?

 

U do brought up a point.

Why do they price a hatch(Golf GT)to be higher than sedan(Jetta)?

Anyway, price of 90+K can get jap 2.4/2.5 car or jetta/GT.

The way I look at it, it's a tradeoff btw space/luxury and driving pleasure.

Looks also a factor bro, a hatch in anytime has better X-factor than any a sedan variant.

During warrenty they repair the items but they will charge you for the parts right

But the jetta TSI is 0 to 100 in 8s and somemore they have a super charger to cover for the turbo lag.. It is impressive

Frankly speaking , based on the jetta price and compare to the rest of the 2.0l sedan like toyota and honda, i think that the 1.4 TSI jetta is worth it.

 

The power is better than them and the booth space is as big as their and the road tax is cheaper and somemore you are taking a conti compare to the japanese

The worried part is that turbo engine is expensive to maintain. If VW gave a 3 year free maintainance that it is good. Never had a turbo car before so i not sure

6-speed one......i think only the incoming (replacement for the Golf 1.6) comes with the 7-speed DSG....and the 7-speed is meant for lower bhp cars....

How often do we hear of 1.4 turbo engine which can do 0-100 in 8s?
