Bridgestone GR80 or Hankook V8?

Just got my tyre changed to Hankook V8RS at Toh Guan early this noon. Found the gripping for both dry and wet is damn good. I can feel the diff from my old Toyo J50, so now I dare to travel faster on wet surface. And of course, for me the noise level really drop a lot. :)

I gotten the 195 15" instead of 185 since the diff isn't that much.

V8 RS seems cool

GR80 is really overpriced for a comfort tire. but if u bargin hard, P H seems to be able to give the best price

perhaps it is time to try out latioboy's uncle across the road for a change [nod]

After read some of the thread here, I have shorten down to 2 selection, either GR80 or V8...

Any bro have more comparison btw these 2? In term of comfy, quiet and good grip? Well, comfy and good grip might not goes hand in hand but decent grip will do as I travel much on NSH.

Also should I keep to 185/65/R15 or should I take a broader width of 195/60/R15? what's the diff besides increase FC and increase sluggishness? sweatdrop.gif

Thanks all nod.gif

I've used both before...personally I feel V8RS is better in all depts except GR80 is slightly quieter. If you ask me to choose again, it will be V8RS.

Do u mean that GR80 is phasing out? Or low stock due to demand and price? Do u mind sharing where are the shops around "Bkt. Batok, Jln Jurong Kechil". Does Made in Japan means more expensive? Thanks in advance.

GR80 still around and the few shops (AMK, Bkt. Batok, Jln Jurong Kechil) that I asked has MIJ

Just changed to my 2nd set of GR80 today. Was told that GR80 is phasing out. For those who still prefers this good and tested tyre, hesitate no more before they are gone.....
