Rev_zone Neutral Newbie June 29, 2008 Share June 29, 2008 Looking at the thread of these 2 make/model it somehow got the similar side in their thread design but in terms of price it's really hell lots of difference. From what I enquire yesterday base on 215/45/17, a pc of CSC2 is $320 while S1evo should be around $215 I guess. Just fix up a 2nd hand set of CSC2 and find its stopping power is really superb compare to my previous RE001. Sidewall is really hard. Tyre squeaking sound level is quite high. Haven got a chance to test out the grip on cornering but I suppose it's good as well since it bite well during braking and this model is one of the highest performance tyre under the Conti range. Anyone had tried up these 2 tyres and can share your experiences here? After this CSC2 I should be trying up S1evo. Duffy Neutral Newbie June 29, 2008 Share June 29, 2008 hi bro me just change to evoS1 on friday, still "running in" so far so good, grid seem good and tyre seem quiet. this tyre review is good for wet as compare to RS2 which is better for track and average for wet. got it for $200 each for 215/45/17. nvr try Continental CSC2 b4 ...no comments
Azarael Clutched June 29, 2008 Share June 29, 2008 i am on CSC 2 so i can offer u some information it is an excellent tire. super quiet, excellent grip in wet and dry, quieter than the bridgestones i was on. cornering is quite good too at high speeds. however , road noise does come in when u go fast > 110kmh... i have not experienced any aquaplanning or slpping before even in wet MSCP. $320 is expensive ....wah, didnt expect prices to go up so much, maybe i switch to cheaper ones next time
Rev_zone Neutral Newbie June 29, 2008 Author Share June 29, 2008 Actually I wanted to go for S1evo but happens to come across a set of CSC2 left quite much thread and most impt super good offer so I try that first since I heard it's quite good too. Rev_zone Neutral Newbie June 29, 2008 Author Share June 29, 2008 It's not cheap now days. That's why been looking smiliar thread design with good compound. So now maybe you can consider S1evo for your next change.

Magfocus 5th Gear June 30, 2008 Share June 30, 2008 (edited) Am currently on CSC2 225/40/18, came stock with the car. Absolutely hate it, no grip in the wet, feels 'waxy' in the dry. What a disappointment. Am going to either get the S1 Evo or the RS2 next. Wondering if its my car or the tyres..but I doubt its the car Edited June 30, 2008 by Magfocus
Rev_zone Neutral Newbie July 1, 2008 Author Share July 1, 2008 Since you mentioned the word 'waxy', may I know what's the mileage you had travel on your csc2? Yesterday just pick up one friend and test out one usual 2 lanes 45deg bend. My friend commented this tyre was very quiet and the grip was much better than my previous re001. He was impressed by the csc2 as he claim if even the passenger can feel it's obviously a great tyre.
Magfocus 5th Gear July 1, 2008 Share July 1, 2008 At present, round about 2k+ km. The tyres should have been well and truly scrubbed in. Quite a few people with the same tyre have shared similar sentiments, alot with more mileage. ↡ Advertisement
