Hi all,wave.gif

I am considering changing my stock horn to something louder, so doing some information gathering on net. I hear good review on the Hella Supertone, and I just happen to know a shop in Toh Guan selling it at $70 without installation. Is this a good price? Also do I need to use the relay provided? Cos I read comewhere that some cars already comes with relay; how about Lancer CS3?

The comparison of Supertone with other horns are as below:

Any one using this, how you find the performance? Can someone recommend me which shop I can go to, to do the installation? Thank you.

Will the relay mess up the car's electrical system if not installed properly. This is why I'm still undecided about installing a more powerful horn.

Any MCF brudder can offer their expertise? I may want to try the Hella too.

I read the relay is to boost the power cos the aftermarket horns need greater electrical power than stock horn.

In addition, I also read some people even need to switch to a higher amphere fuse....

the purpose of the relay is to avoid having high current running onto the horn button on the steering wheel. a low voltage current will activate the relay which will then close the circuit for a higher voltage current to the horn.

this is the same for your headlights, foglights, and ancillaries.

if wired correctly (most audio shops should be able to), it won't be a problem
