Hi,

I just want to share on this Hydrogen booster for engine.. I met a friend who currently self DIY and came out with this. He drive a AT lancer.. his mileages can drive 500+ per full tank. I was shocked.. Any comments ??

Below is the informations he gave me.

INTRODUCTION

HYDROGEN GAS is widely considered to be a greener alternative to petroleum fuel as it does not emit harmful emissions during combustion. Presently, there are experimental vehicles that can run on 100% hydrogen but it is still many years away before such vehicles are commercially available.

However, current technology can be harnessed to supply a small volume of hydrogen gas into the combustion chambers of an engine to supplement petroleum fuel as a 'catalyst'. Petroleum fuel supplemented with hydrogen will burn more complete and cleaner. This small volume of hydrogen gas can be produced with a simple electrolysis process known as a Hydrogen-On-Demand system.

ELECTROLYSER

THE ELECTROLYSER is make up of a set of grade 316L stainless steel plates immersed in distilled water. Chemical known as electrolyte is then added to the distilled water. When electrical power from the vehicle's battery is connected to the electrolyser, electrolysis occurs and water (H2O) breaks down into its gaseous form, that is, hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O). These gases are then routed to the combustion chambers of the engine via the air intake channel or fuel inlet manifold, mixes with the petroleum fuel and combusted.

BENEFITS

1 Complete combustion can be achieved, thus less fuel is wasted

2 Complete combustion reduces carbon formation resulting in cleaner engine & greener emission

3 Engine and exhaust systems are also being steam-cleaned during driving

4 Lives of engine & exhaust system are extended

5 Faster, more powerful & smoother acceleration

6 Quieter engine for a more enjoyable drive

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

Diesel Engines Electrolyser

PWM cum Current Limiter

Electrical wirings & hydrogen feed hoses

Carburetor Engines Electrolyser

PWM cum Current Limiter

Electrical wirings & hydrogen feed hoses

Fuel Injection Engines Electrolyser

PWM cum Current Limiter

Oxygen Sensor Enhancer

Electrical wirings & hydrogen feed hoses

Care to elaborate on the laws of physics that you have mentioned above.

how big is this electrolyser? how much hydrogen/oxygen gas can it generate in 1 second?

if can provide figure, then its a good idea else its a pcs of crap ...

law of conservation of energy

this aint no hydrogen fuel cell, and at least CNG is verified tested proven and approve technology by AD

strongly advise anyone whos thinking of investing in this booster hydrogen thingy to think twice

your links are so shady, who here has even heard of this university or has this university ever publish results or papers in any respectable scientific journals?

on the other hand, mythbusters has already proven that this hydrogen boosting is rubbish

Thanks for the great link that explained why they failed. It was included into the video by the author Michael Freidberg which you probably missed. Anyway, Baking Soda is a no no as a electrolyte.

I truly appreciate that you read the links that I provided.

A correction that I must make concerning the university. It is just a site where ppl with interest in alternative energy contribute their work. Please take the word university with a " ".

That booster that those guys did are a lame replication that gives pathetic gas production. Please just go and youtube for some video that easily illustrate much better production. A decent booster will produce 1-2L of gas per minute.

Lastly, it ain't suppose to be run solely on brown gas. It is suppose to be an aid for the petrol that you inject for a better, cleaner burn.

I am not here to convince you or others. I am just sharing information on what I believe in. I did not encourage ppl to buy anything, I merely discuss the technology behind.

Here's a working model from the Jap.

Anyway, if you bother to read the links I gave, some ppl have achieved overunity.

er..my Civic ES can easily hit 550km before the indicator light light up..including the 8L reserve, can easily hit 600km on 1 full tank.. driving pattern is 60/40 (city/hway) with frequent revs up to 3500-4000rpm

so either this technology is really crap..or Lancer AT FC is sibei jialat..

Try reading more from the OU forum. Some of the things there are quite information.

From a hobbyist point of view.

If I had not seen it myself...I would not have believe it too.

Not from the site that you posted...but I saw it cos my friend was experimenting with it...and by gosh...it does improve power slight and fuel comsumation does not improve that much in our start stop traffic but on his run up to KL, he managed to get a 30% improvement.
