Sun Visor Mirror - where to get?

Hi bros,

I'm looking to reconstruct my sun visors. The mirror in the sun visor is not quite lasting. Very fast the cover will spoil and drop out as per attached photo. This belongs to a MB W210 visor.

Looking at other japanese cars, it seems like theirs are more durable? Does anyone know where to find such mirrors? I even resort to going to some chapalang shop and look at their cosmetic mirrors for ladies but it's just not fitting. Too cheapo quality also.

The accessories shops I've been to, all said the sun visors must buy the whole piece. But I know after a while the cover will drop out again so I am thinking of DIY myself and then wrap it up with nice synthetic PU Leather.

For mine, within 2-3 years all broken. I think the plastic used is different. Not tropicalised maybe (if got such a thing).

Japanese cars' probably more durable. Maybe I can buy the complete visors (for whatever car) and try to rip it out and put on my visor...but thats a bit drastic. And only worth if its cheap and durable.....

A lot of soft touch plastic melts/disintergrates in our harsh tropical weather. Majority of the hard plastics seem to last longer than soft touch type.

think it because the sun visor is near to the car roof. Thats why it is not durable. Can try to look around scrapyard. There is scrapyard at Defu Lane, Woodland and Kranji, depending where you stay.

Do you have a photo of it? I'm thinking of doing the same but can't find something that will do the job leh. ie, need to at least have a cover one right? If no cover, esp on the driver's side, must be covered.

The reason why I want to fix the visors are because the cover is gone and so sometimes when you use the visor, the mirror is very distracting.
