Bad experience with Ford, Regent Motors

I was at Ford Leng Kee on 5th of December for the Ford late night sale with a friend who was interested in the Ford Focus 1.6A 5Dr. When we were there, they asked if we needed this 5-point check, and since thinking that it was free. why not go for it? My air-con was in 100% working condition when I sent in the vehicle. When I took back my vehicle after we decided to leave, my air-con, which is the manual knob type, was switched all the way till '4'. I tried turning it back down, but my '1', '2' and '3' didn't work anymore.

I called the service side immediately, but they insisted no one from their dept touched my air-con at all. I kept telling them I just want the personnel who turned my air-con to '4' to own up, since it was pretty clear whosoever left it there was the culprit. They then said there was nothing they can do, and I could have sent in the car with my air-con spoilt and now in turn pushing the blame to them. I told them I did not need them to pay for the repairs, I just need the culprit to own up, but they said there was nothing they could do.

Angrily, I called up the sales personnel who was with us that night, and she said to call me back and hung up on me. She did not bother to call back, and so I called up the following day again, and all she could say was that she had informed her manager, and there was nothing she could do, and again, she said there was a possibility I sent in the car with the air-con faulty, again!! I repeated myself again I did not need them to pay for the repairs, I just need the culprit to own up, but she said there was nothing she could do either, and accused me of raising my voice at her!!!

I sent in my vehicle on the very following Monday on the 7th of Dec, and till now, no one from Ford bothered to call back. I am not against Regent Motors or anything, even though I used to own a Peugeot and had really bad servicing experiences from them. But since I had to go through bad services from them again, I just wish to share my experience and let someone do the judging for me. All I wish for is some justice, and if anyone out there were to be interested in any vehicles from Regent Motors, kindly read through my story and comment, thank you.

Among reasons Ford Motor Company almost closed down? Massa Motors already closed down

You are not alone.  I am encountering very bad service from them as well.  I am currently a Ford owner.

My car is fairly new and I send it to Regent Motor for servicing.  I told the service advisor on one occassion that the leather seat cover (the plastic cover around the button where you press to putdown the back rest of your back seat) is loose and it fall off easily.  He checked and assured me that they will get the problem fix by stitching the leather.  However, I have to leave my car with them an entire day due to the complication of the work.  I was reluctant at first and asked him if they can shorten it to half a day but he claimed that the job is difficult although it looks simple.  Therefore, I made an arrangement to drop my car with them at 10am in the morning on one Tuesday.

I had a shock when I was collecting my car that night. The same problem persisted and it seemed that no stitching work was even done.  A text was sent to the service advisor as he didn't pick up my call.   I also left a note to their night guard.  its a fustrating event as I inconvenient myself the whole day by leaving my usual mode of transport with them.  There were work and errands to be done that day.

On the next day, the service advisor called and I told him what happened again.  I was surprised to find out that he didn't know a thing.   He promised to investigate and call me back.  Half a day had passed and there was nothing from him.  As a result, I texted him again to ask about his checking.  He told me that I should send him the images to proof that the stitch work were not done.  I was annoyed with his request but I did as told.

He didn't reply until; the very next day.  He apologised that the stitching was not done properly.  Honestly, I doubt that there were even any work done on my car.  He advised that I should send my car in again for him to have a look.  I was really fustrated this time and asked to talk to his superior.  He promised that he will leave a note for his service manager to call me.

Until today, 4 days passed.  I did not receive any call from them to explain and to offer a solution.  To me, Regent Motor just do not care about their brand and their customers.
