Hey damian, so what difference is the 5yrs and 10yrs coe other than the fact that the 5 yrs one will mean that wed have to scrap by the end of the 5 years, is there any price diff? And if we buy the 10yr coe I heard that it is calculated by a average of a few years and nt the current price of the coe, isit true?

If I'm not wrong , to renew COE, you pay the 6 month average COE, ie average of last 6 months COE for that category. To renew for 5 years, you pay 50% of that. Should be about $20k for 5 years going at current COE trend. Once you opt for the 5 year COE, it means die die must scrap in 5 years, no more avenue for renewal.

That is why I am really hoping for just 1 month COE crash from now, it will bring the average COE for the 6 months before AUG, down down down ;)

 

I really dun wanna scrap my Reddy. Even my kids offered all their piggy bank savings just so I can buy a new COE....sighh....

 

The GT4 i was eyeing is still on the mkt on SGCARMART....price now down to 32K....so the question is spend 32 on GT4 or ard 20k to keep Reddy for 5 years...hmmmmmm

even if the roadtax is more ex, its still cheaper then buying a new 10 yrs coe for the starlet for nw.

There's some cracks on the front corner and back which sabre already roughly sealed up but would need spraying to fully hide them.
