came across this video when I was browsing HWZ..

it happened in SG.

whose fault will it be for this kind of situation?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90bEIdxIqDM

If accident, 80% the lorry and 20% van. The traffic seem to be single lane on both side, the the lorry is traveling on the opposite direction on the other lane. The lorry should stop behind the other lorry. The van got some fault as he failed to check and ensure that all vehicles had stopped b4 moving off.

hi

My apologies if you have read this already...

Look at this youtube video

What I am trying to point out is:

In a road accident settlement, it is usually words against words. Not surprising to know that the other party to make false accident statement.

All you have to do is: to provide cirumstantial video evidence to counter them- just the Youtube clip has illustrated.

Cheers!

lets put into another scenario..

there is dbl yellow line, a truck parked jz b4 the entrace illegally... thus blocking vision of the van and also blockg part of the road.

The scenario as in the vid happened, but there is actual impact.

Can both vehicles claim from the parked vehicle?

it is your word against his word, in most cases. so usually the insurance companies settle against each other. engage lawyer also no use, unless u want to go to court.
