I hit this fist sized rock and i think my rim is warped. When i travel above 100, there will b a vibration in the car.

Anyone knows it it can b fixed? Cuz i like the design of my rim which cant be found at most places.

Then it is time you learn to appreciate better products instead (not safe to continue using inferior product)

I had a friend who had a rim warped due to an accident. Managed to recover it but at high speed the car will vibrate, thus unsafe for usage esp at expressway and corners. Change a new set of rims. Got alot of places selling new cheap rims with nice designs! [laugh]

i think using branded rims on low profile tyre will also warp when hit fist size rock at fast speed. In fact if use high tensile strength light weight rim, people tends to use as thin as profile as possible, this increases the chances of rims being warped. Lousy rim crack, good rim warp.. Its pure physics

try to stick to stock rims n tyres sizes. if personal preference to change....stick to increase in 1 size....14" to 15". best avoid low profile tyres.....even the best n most hardy rims can crack.....believe me

alloy rim usually cant be repair... but steel one.. it can.. but WS will take time to knock them back to shape....

anyway deform.. better change to new set of rim.. it is safer.

I doubt alloy rims with structural damage can be repaired.

I would still feel unsafe, to use the defective rim.

I think even Jap rims cannot survive a fist size rock. I think stock rims maybe. Both Taiwan and Jap rims will wrap anyway.

Branded need not mean quality. Quality may be branded. I seen many tire burst by high speed collision with wheels still intact (including low profile tire used). I thought lousy rims shattered, too?

what rims shatter?? Want rims that can tahan debris shock would be heavy.. Dun think any lighweight quality rims can take it.. Usually its those cheapo heavy rims that r not on low profile tyres that survive rocks or potholes when going across them at high speed. Maybe u try going across a pothole at a speed of 80km/hr then u will know what i mean..
