Chamber kit

Hi Guys,

Normally how much do your spend on chamber kit?

do you change for 1 wheel or 1 pair?

Camber kits are usually not needed unless you need to track or adjust the handling. Normal daily driving is not needed. Remember that adjusting camber will cause uneven wear on your tyres as well (esp. the inner side).

From S$80 to $160.

My buddy got it at $80 and when to do his alignment. The max angle was 1.5 and he wanted more.

After the alignment, got another set for around $160 inclusive of alignment.

I install it in a Stream and set to 1.5Front, 1.2rear.

Even with the High CG, it handles like a car.

because mine is out of alignment. required this to adjust my front set of wheels

 

a certain workshop in AMK Autopoint charges $170 + $50 installation... damn...

i never heard of honest workshop asking Cust to buy camber kit or camber bolt to resolve an alignment problem. Bro u better seek second opinion. Stock suspension generally will not need camber bolt.

 

U on stock factory suspension or coilovers ?

got it from Malaysia 3 yrs ago at RM70 excluding labour to adjust the chamber. total RM120 if i remember correctly.

 

i bought it due to my driving style. hard cornering... outer tyre always worn faster than inner.

i'm on stock.. wksp suggested can't be adjust. that is why my tyres are eating on the outside. need the bolt to tune back.

Bro why normal alignment cannot align back? First time I hearing need bolt to perform alignment on stock suspy leh. Touchwood car not involved in accident right? If no then really strange cannot align back. Not that this matters but can share age and model of car ma?

 

If eating on outside ur ride has +ve camber. I feel pretty sure can adj back. What is the camber angle measure by that workshop? Curious to know.

Try going to kenny at AMK tech park II (if his shop is still there) and tell him about your problem. Normally stock suspension should be able to align one. His shop should be at level 4, along the stretch same as Phua's spray painter.
