GPS cant detect statelite ?

Did the salesguy test it for you? Have you seen it working at all at the shop?

 

Sounds like you've a busted antenna. Should be able to do a one for one exhange at the shop since you just bought it.

guys when i bring it to an open space, i do not have to press on anything right?

 

just wait for the satellite signal ?

 

i changed my country, but my icon is still stuck at the causeway !

Make sure it's not in simulation mode.

 

How do i know if i am in simulation mode?

You sholdn't need to select country or map everytime you switch it on.

 

I've a garmin novi myself n used numerous other brands overseas.

 

This weekend go back to shop and exchange or at least ask salesman to show you n spend some time running through the functions outside the building wth GPS on.

hmm ? why is it that i hv to agree all the licence agreements n so everytime i turn on my gps ?

 

i guess the answer is very obvious :angry: jus concluded that i jus bought a lemon

 

cant search signal hv to agree , view all the agreements after re-boot

 

and they didnt ask me to choose the map ?

I think your GPS is faulty, bring back to shop and get an exchange. Go to open space and test the replacement set before you go off.

yeah. obviously it is a faulty one .

first time is like that...

once locked, next time will not be in malaysia when power-on...

try it in open field ?

type of solar film might have effect on reception also...
