The concept model looks nice, however the production cars look so so only. Toyota has shares in Subaru so everything will look alike even in technological advancement. Don't think one can be better than the other but comes to branding, I think it will be damn strange lor if Toyota will still take the lead even though both cars are the same in everything.

I've also test driven the WRX before buying it. And I've test driven other models (M3, Lotus Elise 1.6SC, Merc E55 AMG etc.) that the ADs put out a strict "no test drive" policy about.

That policy is to keep out the riff raff and the tyre kickers. They see who you are, and if you look like a serious potential buyer and not just a gawker, they'll let you test drive it. Everyone wants to move their merchandise, after all.

I will never commit to buying a car without a test drive. Having said that, if I have zero interest in a car, I won't even bother to test it. That's why I won't be bothering with either of these cars.

so u wont test drive just for butt feel?

i am more interested in how much u pay for your insurance, with how many % NCD.

I asked the SE before. Insurance for above 30 at 50% NCD is abt $1600.

Share your driving feel?

handling feels quite good, low end throttle response is not bad, still running in so can't comment on the acceleration and WOT response

haven't seen another one on the road, so was wondering whether any other bros here collected theirs...

Those who bought one of these cars at current prices with a 10-year loan have a lot of courage. Wish them the best of luck with the negative equity - a decade is a long time for festering buyer's remorse when they realise how underpowered the cars really are, yet can't get out of ownership comfortably.

I went back 3 days ago and apparently the premium went up and it have you have to indicate the driver name. Reason was that the first batch the insurance company didn't know the car so the premium was lower back then compared to now.
