Bought the above voucher as a gift for my brother at $58 and the voucher states that it's for $150 worth of services. I repeat, $150 hor.

When my bro called up to make appointment, they told him that if the paint work has not been polished for a long time, they need to do machine polish, etc, to restore the shine. They say usual price is $180, but since he got the voucher, he need to top up $180 - $58 = $120 ( which works out to be a $2 discount).

My bro then challenge, the voucher listed $150 worth of service, so shouldn't the top up be $180 - $150? They say it doesn't work this way. The $58 is for normal wash and basic hand "polish", which I doubt if they even claybar. Topping up $120 (on top of the $58 voucher) for machine polish to restore the shine is way too expensive. At least if the top up is $30-40, still acceptable, it's suppose to be discounted/offer price isn't it? I can get a mobile groomer with machine polish + wax at $80-90.

Then what's the use of buying the voucher? That's misrepresentation marketing. In the end my bro told them forget it, and he returned the voucher to me......

Bros and Sis, please beware of unscrupulous marketing tactics when buying discount vouchers!

Services is worth $150, so at least the list of 11 items are covered. The only difference is machine polishing. My bro doesn't mind topping up, but the top up quoted is as though there's not discount, ie, the voucher is useless, normal price, or rather $2 discount!! Makes him feel as though the voucher is used to tie him down to pay for expensive grooming. For $178, I can get 2 (or at least close to 2) machine polish grooming sessions.

But if you look at the voucher, it says "This voucher at $150....."

Ask your bro not to do machine polishing lor...... do the normal one...

as for the '"this voucher is at $150.."" i believe you should check with mocca perks instead of V-shine..

That's what I told him also, but he was afraid that it will be wasted as his car has not be maintained for more than a year.

He asked me to use as I maintain my car very regularly.

I've used v shine once, paid the full price and I'm a happy customer. They came on time and did what they promised.

I know the issue is what the voucher promised but just stating that they're pretty straight up when it came to what needs to be done on my ride and what doesn't.

I'm in no way affiliated to them.

Ya la i also bought a polishing package online and did it. Everything turned out fine of course dont expect super good job done.

But TS dont worry, U just have to call Mocca perks to complain they will refund u if u really seem upset.

To me, the best case senario now is just to call them and make an appointment to do what they promised in the voucher and forget about the rest.

It's not a huge sum of money anyway. Take it as lesson learnt if the results turn out no good.
