Mirror iPhone on HU using DisplayOut

I am thinking whether to get the new Pioneer AVH-8450BT to integrate with my iPhone or just a cheaper lower end model with AV input that allows me to connect my iPhone through composite AV out using apple Displayout function, thus creating a mirror image of the iPhone. Using Pioneer App Radio allows only compatible apps to run whereas Displayout virtually runs all the apps on the iPhone. Anyone tried this before ?

am 8450 user. the displayout is working fine on most app, but some landscape mode app might have some issue on the hu.

After some consideration........still 8450......installed it already...:)
