Y bad experience? Where did u install it?

Also guys I got a Q. Lets say.. The cera detect "someone bang" the car video clip, will it save it into somewhere where it is protected n won't b deleted away? Else is the "E" file won't be deleted?..

Also I realize that there always another file with the video, any idea what does it do?

Also this camera does not had axle control ya, meaning it won't tell where the impact coming from which direction ya?..

auto deletion depends on your settings.

if it's time based of FIFO, then the earliest gets deleted first.

if it so happened that the E file which captured the "bang" is the oldest, i think it will still be deleted.

if you're on deletion by file type, the E gets saved longer but depends on how your percentages are.

my settings are N-50%, E-10%, P-40%.

reason for this is, any 1 min file is around 41MB.

using this setting, i have around 60-70 E files that will be available at any time.

btw, i've also set the driving mode shock sensitivity to insensitive to cut down on the E files while driving so that there's more available when parked.

i have 4 32GB SD cards which i change every 2 days or so.

there will be gaps in the recording but to me it's ok since i don't review every video anyway.

it's mostly for kookoos i meet on the road ;)

the other file i think holds the settings for the video like recording date & time, your speed, etc.

Need some advise here.

I installed the cam connected via the UPC to the fusebox directly.

I noticed that the Cam is continue to recording after I off my engine for more than 30 mins, even after I disable parking mode from the software setup.

Anyone else encounter this issue before? How did you resolve it? I am wondering if have gotten a faulty set or just if the UPC is connected wrongly to the fusebox.

Currently, I have unplugged the power from the camera as I scare that next morning my car battery will be completely drain (especially if the UPC isn't hook up correctly).

Any help much appreciated.

Setting parking mode "off" means your car will not enter into parking mode. The device will keep recording as if you are driving. Setting parking mode ''on"' will allow the device to enter into parking mode after 5 minutes of parking, the device will only record when it senses motion or shock.

The purpose of installing the UPC is to avoid draining your battery power, there is no need for your to disconnect the power from your device.

After reading this thread and some other threads in other forums, decided to get ITB-100HD for my upgrade. All I can say is, it's really worth the money compared to my old one (720p, 30fps, gigantic size, and cost 160 dollars 2 years ago...). Bought 2 sets from fleabay (for front and back), together with the 2 UPCs as a bundle deal, shipped via EMS. Total cost is slightly over 500. Reached my door in 3.5 working days after the purchase.

For those that want to hook up the TV-out to the head unit, let me share my experience. I made my own TV-out cable, bought all the parts from Sim Lim Tower. Total cost is less than 30 dollars plus about 15 mins of elbow grease for soldering the 2 cables. You can get the right angle 3.5mm mono jack in few shops at top level, and get a Canare coax cable. Yellow color female RCA jack can be bought in many places. For mine, I use the Canare mic cable (stereo), which work perfectly fine. Just solder the 2 cores together as hot input. Since my car is MPV, the rear unit needs about 5-6m including routing the cable up and down for concealed installation. To be safe, I made 7m for the back, and 3m for the front. For the rear one, if anyone is thinking to use it as a reverse camera, don't bother, unless your head unit could flip the image vertically (mirror image). It's very confusing since the right side on the head unit monitor is actually the car's left side.

The power cable included in the ITB-100HD is definitely not long enough for the back, as it's only 3m long. For this one, you need to get your installer to put the UPC behind and extend the UPC cable to the front. Unless your car have an electrical point that constantly on.

I'm on second day on these 2 ITB-100HD. So far, very happy with the quality. The units are slightly hot but not burning hot, image quality is good day and night, and no exposure/white balance problem. I'm on firmware v2.1 since day 1, and PC Player 1.3.2.

BTW, I tried my old SanDisks microSD 16GB class 2 (with SD adapter), and it works just fine. Save your money, there's no need to get class 10 SD card ^_^ Initially was curious to try it out since each file size (1 min of recording) is only ~41MB, so technically speaking a card that could handle 1MB/sec write speed should be ok.... Turns out I was right... But your millage may vary...

What does it improve and solve what issue?

Just google it, you'll find the answer in other forum, as has been mentioned in one of the previous thread entry here as well. Here's the quick copy and paste of it:

Any guys having stuttering issue with the recorded video? Out of the E, N and P, only the N/E has problems. The video would "hang" or lose frames every 1-2 second intervals. P video is fluid smooth. I'm still on the older v2.0 firmware.

The only significant change i made was to turn on shock sensing alarm in the General setting tab.

Just my opinion....cam position seems too much sky....

No really, but the car is beginning to travel slight up slope. At the same time, my wife is travelling towards east direction.
