you might want to consider the brudders' suggestion. but meanwhile, when u drive the car in the morning, you might want to release the engine bonnet catch for slightly enhanced cooling. switch off the aircon and change to "natural" air whenever the needle points to H. drive gently, avoid abrupt start-stops and reving the engine.

 

 

I've had enuff of my car! I've tried all kinds of coolants available and flushing the radiator but to no avail! it still overheats! The problem is so bad that whenever i go to work in the morning, my car will overheat! too long Q at traffic lights - Overheat!, go up slope to carparks - overheat! Even stationary also overheat! the obly way the car doesnt overheat is driving when there is no jam and driving at night or during rainy weather. I am thinking of changing the whole head gasket if the problem persists, anyone with the same experience or encounter such problems before? any advice is VERY welcome :) BTW i am driving a 220turbo(rover)

Hmmm, just last week my fren drove wif the bonnet catch open and halfway, the whole bonnet suddenly bent backwards and the whole piece was stretched in half. he spent $100 to panel beat the thing. Lucky never smash into the windscreen. Anyway, to the best of my knowledge, his speed was at about 60km/h. So all brothers may have to drive much lower than 60 if there's any intention to drive wif the bonnet catch open...just a gentle reminder

Ooohhh.....never drive with the bonnet latched open. I forgot to lock my bonnet once, just latched on and when I went through a hump the entire bonnet "hopped" and slammed shut. Luckily the latch didn't break off!

Well, I really pity his car...If I'm not wrong, he didn't went for a oil change for like....a year?...he's almost clocking 30k on the mileage.

 

And also, everyone who sits in his car(swift) veli stress. when he drives off, inside like sitting helicopter like that, all sorts of noise coming from the wheelbase, rear and God knows where else.

 

Once a mechanic who changed a battery for him took the car out for a test drive, and when he came back, he told me(wifout my fren knowing) that this was the first time he so scared driving a car, don't know when the 4 wheels will suddenly pop out or breakdown. He told me all the dampers, crankshaft, bearings and many other tech terms all very worn out, even the tyre botak liao. My fren don't care just take the car and drive. But he quite 'zhai' though.(steady)

 

And i was very surprised that the piece of wreck managed to survive the KL trip when my fren drove there...
