If I am them, I wouldnt bother registering under the local agent URL.

Answer - Obviously Skoda

 

2. Why is Czech Auto in existence?

Answer - Because of Skoda.

 

So why czechauto.com.sg and not skoda.com.sg?

to be registered as skoda.com.sg the company name have to be Skoda registered in SG.

 

Company domain name have to be company name in SG context.

yes, i know that.

 

even if the SGNIC who does not allow even the sole distributors the right to use the skoda.com.sg site... (i understand they want to know the reason for the registration if the URL is not the company name) i am not sure if there is anything stopping them registering a dormant company called Skoda Singapore.

Is the name Skoda trademarked? If it is then whoever wants to use that name, even as a company will probably run into problems with VAG.

As far as I understand it is trademarked.

 

JTA ever told me that they need to seek Skoda approval for any advert that have Skoda content in it
