Mitga Neutral Newbie September 16, 2003 Share September 16, 2003 Heya, can some Matrix pals here give me some general feedback on how Matrix is? Such as approx fuel consumption (was told that it drinks heavily) ? Maintenance aspects? Appreciate your input. Cheers! ↡ Advertisement
Carlover76 Neutral Newbie September 17, 2003 Share September 17, 2003 Yes, you are right! Heard from my friend who is driving a Auto Matrix will drinks petrol about 9km per litre compared to my Spectra Manual of 11-13km per litre and Spectra Auto of 10-11km per litre! Anyway, this Matrix cannot travel too fast also due to the height of the car!
Amokduke Neutral Newbie September 19, 2003 Share September 19, 2003 Been driving it for 2 weeks.... really drink petrol like crazy.. pickup is not as good as others but it gets better as u go faster topspeed is 160 along NS highway quite stable as it is rather heavy the rear seats can fold like COLT so can put big tall things like mountain bikes (remove front wheel) Quite a number of matrixes around on the roads nowadays... so should be no problem to find someone you know who drive it.. ask them. Axela525 4th Gear September 20, 2003 Share September 20, 2003 (edited) Heard and sat in one of them, my frd says it's consumption is like his ex- Suzuki GTi Power so so, must be above 3,000rpm then can step on it, otherwise if apply to early, the ECU will let go lots of petrol but car still slow The car is very high though, abit geedy, like rollercoaster maybe not used to the height Edited September 20, 2003 by Mivec

Mmythos Neutral Newbie September 27, 2003 Share September 27, 2003 I don drive a Matrix and no offense.. I hate sonata and the coupe drivers... a bunch of yaya people who thinks their car is super power... especially the coupe... the cheapest coupe u can find in sin, 100k for a 2.7l coupe... ultra cheap... Just some knowledge sharing, u need not agree with me alrite. When you buy a car, what do you actually look for, the shape, the looks, the functions, the features or the price? A small cc car need not mean low fuel consumption whereas a large cc car need not mean higher fuel consumption. U basically need to look at the weight and power of the car. Having a small cc for a large and heavy car consumes more fuel than a larger cc engine for the same size and weight car. You know the reason why? Zolidlim Neutral Newbie September 27, 2003 Share September 27, 2003 the fuel consumption is not like drinking, its more like gulping. a few colleagues of mine claimed that average is about 9-11km/l and the performance is no no... Not responsive and feels heavy... Personally have not test drove yet. Wondering the 1.8l consumption how hor? 6-8km/l??
