Owen_fan 2nd Gear October 1, 2003 Author Share October 1, 2003 according to the car servicing manual, the first 3 free servicing for my car are 5000km, 10000km & 15000km. so must i send after 1000km.
Smiley Neutral Newbie October 1, 2003 Share October 1, 2003 then stick to 5000km. but i know people who send in their car at 1000km (even though it states 1st servicing at 5000km) just to change to syn engine oil.

Jetcool 1st Gear October 1, 2003 Share October 1, 2003 For Toyota cars, BM requests 1st servicing at 1k km. But according to formers at Toyota Club, Toyota Japan had already scrapped the 1k servicing. In fact, one of the oil gurus there said that the initial engine oil contains special additives to enhance the engine running in, and it's a waste to change it at 1k. So if Mazda recommend 5k, it should be OK I think. ↡ Advertisement
