Renegade Neutral Newbie July 14, 2002 Author Share July 14, 2002 True story...from a fren: Joker was parking his new car head-in when he crashed his bumper onto the kerb. when asked why he did that, he claimed that when he did reverse parking, there was a "beep, beep" sound to warn him of obstacles behind, so he assumed the beep will also come on when he parked head-in! Not the first, definitely not going to be the last - have known quite a few ppl who have depended on their sensors and ended up the same way. Know of someone who's got a huge dent right down the middle of the bumper as the sensors only provided accurate feedback on the sides.....

Eyyy....dun laugh, okay - I have actually seen one Rolla (thankfully, rather rare) with front-end sensors (and some, interestingly, with grazed front-ends)....unless, of course, I've mistaken the latest fashion stick-ons (after the Rolla eyelids) for the bumper..... Carbine Neutral Newbie July 15, 2002 Share July 15, 2002 (edited) opps... sorrie. i'm not aware that front sensors do exist! for me, i opted out of the reverse sensors (less $200) bcoz I have no wish to be too dependent on sensors when doing reverse parking. Think NIE must introduce "R" into the school syllabus... stands for Reverse Sensor!!! Actually.... he can have that also... but he'll need to fit it on his own.... cos most of our cars aren't that big and it's easier to argah also..... but this guy.... really one kind man!! ↡ Advertisement
