Jagash Neutral Newbie July 29, 2004 Share July 29, 2004 I am not on Glare. I am on System 6 and top off with S100 carnuaba wax. So far so good! I do not think any polish or wax will withstand dishwashing liquid.

Dwoon 1st Gear July 29, 2004 Share July 29, 2004 Dunno about mama lemon. But I used Glare on my metal kettle to retore the shine as it was badly tarnished. Its been about 2 months of daily usage and the kettle is still as shiny w/o caotings or any tarnising. And it was only one coat of Glare I put on. Definitely can withstand high temperatures and will not evaporate/burn off the bonnet.

Jagash Neutral Newbie July 29, 2004 Share July 29, 2004 Your Kettle is painted? Is your kettle exposes to the sun, rain, wind, dust etc It is not a very good test becos the conditions between your car and kettle is entirely different.
Autocraze Neutral Newbie July 29, 2004 Share July 29, 2004 (edited) What I sometimes do.. esp when I'm lazy.. is to pop in a capful of Hi-Glaze88 together with the Armorall Blue shampoo and shampoo the car with it. Restores some of the shine back to the paintwork. now for me, just top up a layer of mother's sealan every mth... Jagash Neutral Newbie July 29, 2004 Share July 29, 2004 That's the hard and tiring option. Find a product with better shine and is more durable. Just like you can excercise to keep fit or take what our friend Fann endorse Zando?

Jagash Neutral Newbie July 29, 2004 Share July 29, 2004 Eh? Where you get your Mother's stuff. Damn hard to find. Only found the Mother's quick detailer at www.caraccessories.com.sg at the Jurong Point basement carpark. You try Com4tyres (check the internet for info). The carry a wide range of Mothers product. King 1st Gear July 29, 2004 Share July 29, 2004 as long my car shine under day light, good enough for me. when under the MSCP light, all scatches surface......
Dwoon 1st Gear July 29, 2004 Share July 29, 2004 The kettle is not painted but it is subjected to 100 deg C daily to boil water. At least it can withstand heat rather than waxes or inferior coatings which'll disintegrate under heat. I don't think your bonnet experiences 100 deg C right? especially when moving as there's the wind cooling factor.
Dwoon 1st Gear July 29, 2004 Share July 29, 2004 (edited) Mine was brought in from the US when someone came back. You can't get it locally. I DIYed my car by hand which took 16 hours of sweat for 2 coats. Unless you have friends going there or coming here from the US, then you can get them to get it for you. Only US$30 to US$35 per bottle. Edited July 29, 2004 by Dwoon
