Zolidlim Neutral Newbie December 10, 2003 Share December 10, 2003 (edited) Hi congrats and be part of the jazzie family in here, MCF... I did consider yr few points when booking my car. First of all, the kit which KM selling is $2k, with paint and installation, which I think is a little costly and common on the road. Thats why I forgo the idea and take my time in searching for a one and only kit locally. It cost almost the same price tho'. As for warranty, yes, it will voided, only if the installer drills holes onto yr car body, which is unlikely cos nowadays the kit, even replica sets are fitted with silicon, or uses the same holes from yr car body, so no worry... $71k with those freebies is consider a good deal, IMO...But try to squeeze more out from yr SE. I got mine at 77k, with free leather, foglamps, reverse sensors and $$$ rebate. I converted the foglamp and sensors to $$$, so in total I got back about 1k rebate! Mystrix Neutral Newbie December 10, 2003 Author Share December 10, 2003 Thanks for the info, me total newbie here... Sign the papers liao still can go squeeze the SE meh? Might forgo the idea of the bodykot for the moment... 2K is seems to be too much, what the common $$ range of the other kits? Are replicas good or recomended? Will be considering ... alarm and mabbe v-kool... since it didn't came with it... hiak.
Jazziegirl Clutched December 10, 2003 Share December 10, 2003 (edited) Hellooooo!! Welcome to MCF and to the mini-Jazz/Fit gang! We've got quite a few black Jazzies here! Bodykits, try PMing Poisonmaster - he brings in bodykits from Japan at pretty good prices. Go check out the HyperRev magazine for the issue dedicate to Jazz/Fit. It's like the mod bible for Jazz/Fits, then u can decide better which kit you like. V-kool.. do you park in the open often? or more in MSCPs? If it's the latter, then i think VKool isn't too essential. of course, if you drive around alot during the day, it's worth considering then. But then again, u might wanna wait till the monsoon's over cos it's not that hot these days! Auto at 71K with free leather seats n sports rims? that's pretty good to me! My Jazz will be one year old in a month's time and I paid $74K for it, with leather and sports rims too. Good buy, bro! come down for friday meetups and we can talk jazz! else join us for our weekly wash & wax at either Telok Blangah or Ponggol! of course thru the week we also have lunches/dinner and other ad hoc get-togethers! Join us! Edited December 10, 2003 by Jazziegirl
Susacarimakan 4th Gear December 10, 2003 Share December 10, 2003 HI there MYSTRIX, CONGRATS for choosing and booking your new JAZZ and a very warm welcome to MCF and its JAZZ/FIT group . $71k with leathers and s'rims is a good deal lah-must be the least expensive for a JAZZ so far; you're making all of us envious man . Lots of interesting tips in the RESOURCES folder , and on Page 3, you will find one that says "Things to check when collecting new car" which many bros' print as reference when collecting their new rides. Also tips on washing/cleaning/polishing . Hope you get your new JAZZ soon and perhaps join us for Wash & Wax sessions? On kits, I'm out of sync, but members here like JACKO and MITLOVER has got the bible on bodykits called 'Hyper Rev'(vol.80). BTW, check out the MEETUP folder too as we had a photoshoot on 11/Nov and pics are available for you to swoon over . CHEERS!...susa
Honzai Neutral Newbie December 10, 2003 Share December 10, 2003 (edited) Welcome to MCF! I own a 6 month old black jazz. Initially i wanted bodykit for my jazz too ... but as time goes by, I think i will rather save the $$$. Instead i use part of the $$ for a nice set of rims and good tyres. A nice set of rims will make the car look good! by the way, the tyres that will come with your jazz aren't very good on wet roads. Be very careful! My jazz has Huber Optik installed instead of v-kool. but in my opinion, both are no match for SG's sun power. The interior still becomes an oven in the afternoon. Alarm will be a nice option! The price of your car is good! My jazz costs me $73k and i have to top up another $500 for leather seats. Once you get your jazz, we will teach you how to DIY a more effective and much cheaper aircon filter! As what jazziegirl said, come for our regular meetups! Don't be shy shy! Susacarimakan 4th Gear December 10, 2003 Share December 10, 2003 HI there ZSR19, Is your ride a JAZZ or FIT too? Just curious since didn't see your posts earlier. What color? WELCOME anyways!
Susacarimakan 4th Gear December 10, 2003 Share December 10, 2003 Ha!ha! No effect on me lah, except curious of the various designs. Can't afford the kits and do not want to be called "lao hiao" too. Thinking very hard on the rims and tyres upgrade; need to wait and see if got 13th month AWS or not...'hung cheng very pai". How's XHC? Thought you left town on holiday with gf? Mystrix Neutral Newbie December 10, 2003 Author Share December 10, 2003 Thanks for the insight, as well as the warm welcome... Since my dad is the official owner and the car will be under the jurong island sun most of the time, I would like to come out with a good solution to combat the jurong island sun...
