Body kit materials

Hello all,

 

In the market how many types of materials being use to produce the body kits?(To my knowledge there are fibre glass; ABS & plastic)

 

Questions: Which is more costly? Which is more better quality/durable in other word will not crack easily due to light hit/impact.

there's also carbon fibre bodykits.... even to the extend of carbon fibre bonnets, boot, doors and dashboards. I might have to sell a kidney to afford the whole lot for my car

Yes, something like that, if possible workshop to recommend & also the price for different material.

ABS plastic is more expensive than fibreglass but the surface is smoother and it will bend under pressure and not crack like fibreglass. I'd consider fibreglass the worst material cos the surface is never 100% smooth.

 

Most OEMs and original bodykits use ABS plastic.
