Neilchua Neutral Newbie November 24, 2002 Share November 24, 2002 Saw Sung Beng pushing Cyclone II at the Motorshow for $168. The cyclonelooked much like a $2 piece of metal well connected to create a "cyclone" effect in the air intake pipe. Almost wanted to buy until I remembered I heard someone in the forum did mention Sung Beng prices are somewhat on the high side... erghhh.... Anyone tried Cyclone II? 5204s Neutral Newbie November 24, 2002 Share November 24, 2002 Hi Neilchua,I bought it from Sung Beng also the last time at $160 a piece, wah now hang cheng bad they also increase the price huh , IMHO,I rather go for K&N filter
Guest Triggerhappy Neutral Newbie November 24, 2002 Share November 24, 2002 Is this Sung Beng the only distributor of the Cyclone? Long time ago, this Cyclone used to be very popular, now hardly any noise. 5204, is the Cyclone good to use?
5204s Neutral Newbie November 24, 2002 Share November 24, 2002 Hi TriggerHappy, err it depends, personally I think the 4'' will do more good than the 2'' cyclone,if u approach them they surely ask u humtum 5 or 6 cyclone in your air intake area, too many cyclone will choke-up the intake, this is what I can tell u
Sam71 Neutral Newbie December 6, 2002 Share December 6, 2002 Saw a demo and some brief. Sales pitch always sound good but the proof is inthe pudding. Not too many good comments from earlier post. Theoratically, it should work as spiral air flow faster than normal normal air induction. However found the price too expensive and to see an improvement i think got to install 3-4 pieces. If one at $180 then 3 is $540 or 4 for $720.(prices are est only might be wrong. Phew a bit too expensive for a few pieces of metal that have no moving parts or electronic equipment IMHO. Dunno whether got bulk discount when buy 4. I think Mc Well is bringing them in. ↡ Advertisement
