what's the best way to increase low-end torque, say from 1k to 3k rpm? no NOS please ...

 

i don't think it's CAI right?

 

what about :

1. ECU?

2. airmax?

 

please don't say things like changing to smaller rims, remove seats, take out spare tyre, take out dashboard, take out wipers, take out the heavy subwoofer, etc

I am not sure about some of these mod and also looking to improve low-end torque...

IMHO, to do that, CAI definitely will help..

As for ECU, it is more for FC and improve performance but may not help with low-end.

Airmax is just a device that help to regulate air intake..

 

Maybe the other mod gurus can share their views.

Reduce weight......especially unsprung weight.

Reduce weight of car....which means take out all unimportant stuffs (dead weights). This will increase the power/weight ratio and car will pick up faster. Plus it's free!

 

Unsprung weight - wheels and tyres. Lighter rims will give you better pickup as there's much less rotating mass. I think every kg of unsprung mass removed is equivalent to 2kgs sprung mass.
