what's the best way to increase low-end torque, say from 1k to 3k rpm? no NOS please [dizzy][dizzy] ...

i don't think it's CAI right?

what about :

1. ECU?

2. airmax?

please don't say things like changing to smaller rims, remove seats, take out spare tyre, take out dashboard, take out wipers, take out the heavy subwoofer, etc [rifle][rifle]

I am not sure about some of these mod and also looking to improve low-end torque...

IMHO, to do that, CAI definitely will help..

As for ECU, it is more for FC and improve performance but may not help with low-end.

Airmax is just a device that help to regulate air intake..

Maybe the other mod gurus can share their views.

Newly joined...wonderful site with fun-talking souls and techical gurus..

I am interested in improving some pickup speed for my ride..wonder what's the best method to do it.

Does installing CAI help or is there other solutions?

Reduce weight......especially unsprung weight. [nod][thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup]

Reduce weight of car....which means take out all unimportant stuffs (dead weights). This will increase the power/weight ratio and car will pick up faster. Plus it's free!

Unsprung weight - wheels and tyres. Lighter rims will give you better pickup as there's much less rotating mass. I think every kg of unsprung mass removed is equivalent to 2kgs sprung mass. [thumbsup][thumbsup][thumbsup]

Have u try asking the Mazda 6 guru from the ACS forum? Almost all of your questions can be found there.
