Jesse_james Neutral Newbie August 9, 2004 Share August 9, 2004 (edited) hi there. You can use it when you shampoo your car or with a detailer - lubricant required together with the clay bar. Be careful not to use it on a hot surface cos it sticks like plasticine. Attached a link for you: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/inf-clay.html Here is an extract: Have fun and follow the instructions in the link. To use the clay bar, you spray a lubricant on a small area of your car and rub the clay back and forth with light to medium pressure. If the lubricant begins to dry, you'll need to spray more. Clay is fairly sticky and cannot be used dry. Try using clay dry and you'll make a big mess and scuff your paint. After a few passes with the clay, rub your hand over the area you cleaned to check for areas missed. You should feel a distinct difference between the areas you have clayed and the areas you have not clayed. Keep rubbing until all contamination bumps are gone. Finally, wipe the clay residue off with a soft microfiber towel, and buff to a nice luster. Just like waxing, work in small areas. Assassin Clutched April 19, 2005 Share April 19, 2005 No worries. Try to clay bar every few months or so. Or when you can feel the grit on the paintwork while washing your ride.

Brock 1st Gear August 12, 2005 Share August 12, 2005 You really have to look hard and near at your paintwork to notice the difference. Tiny black tar spots will be removed from your ride. The best 'effect' is actually the feel. So much smoother than before. I'm using Soft99 Green Claybar @ $13.50 at Stamford. Cut into 8 pieces can use for a super duper long time. Still on piece number 1 and used it for like 3 times liao. Another 1-2 more and I'll change. ↡ Advertisement
