Ohlins Neutral Newbie January 16, 2005 Share January 16, 2005 presently using a set of 215/40-17. so far so good - dry and wet. there is slight roar at 50-60 kph which disappears as i went faster. overall noise level is acceptable, low but not quiet. not much tire squirm under hard cornering or braking. feedback is pretty good for i can appreciate various type of road surface. my fren did commment that his previous set of ES100 did grip better in the wet as compared to his present set of DZ101. i cant say anything for i have yet to try ES100. one line to sum it all - i am happy with the performance. ha ha
Phochem Neutral Newbie January 16, 2005 Share January 16, 2005 yah, theres a slight roar at ard that speed. Still in the the process of scrubing the new set, so far so good.
Aspri Clutched January 16, 2005 Author Share January 16, 2005 The more I use this set of tyres, the more I'm convinced that it was a better set over my previous set of G3. Reaching my 10000km mark with it already!
Phochem Neutral Newbie January 16, 2005 Share January 16, 2005 quite surprise tats its priced slightly lower than G3 and perform jus as good if nt better. Its relatively a silent performer glad i chose tis ovr the rest.
Aspri Clutched January 16, 2005 Author Share January 16, 2005 It was about the same price from where I bought it so it wasn't really a consideration. One of the deciding factor was that the Direzza is quieter than the G3. I like the tread pattern too.
Slew Neutral Newbie January 17, 2005 Share January 17, 2005 hi bro, how do u compare the wear of dz101 with g3? i'm also currently on this tyre 215/45/17 abt 10k.
Aspri Clutched January 20, 2005 Author Share January 20, 2005 Can't comment until after my next servicing which is due soon. I haven't really check the wear yet. Is it bad for you?
Ddt121 Neutral Newbie January 21, 2005 Share January 21, 2005 i just changed to Dz101 215/45/R16 on Friday. Previously using ES100. In comparison to ES100, the grip is lesser in the dry. In the wet, have yet to rain. hahaha... However, in terms of noise, it is less. Comfort is much better. Quite happy in terms of changing to DZ101, though it is slightly mre expensive than ES100. Slew Neutral Newbie January 22, 2005 Share January 22, 2005 i dont know...juz that my fren commented the wear is faster than his G3.
Optra5154 Neutral Newbie January 24, 2005 Share January 24, 2005 .........brader, where did you buy the DZ101? And the price? I was quoted Dunlop SP9000 @ $100/pc. ..........think about time to change tyres b4 Chinese New Year
Aspri Clutched January 24, 2005 Author Share January 24, 2005 I paid 480 bucks for all the tyres (195/55/R15) at the Esso (or was it Mobil) petrol station along Upper Changi Road. Quite ok pricing imho.
D2843 1st Gear January 24, 2005 Share January 24, 2005 Hi, me paid $100 each for the DZ101 (195X50X15) at pxx xxxg.
Optra5154 Neutral Newbie January 24, 2005 Share January 24, 2005 the uncle at Jurong Kechil quoted DZ101 @ 85!!!!!!!But, sometimes I don't whether he heard and said things correctly.
Ohlins Neutral Newbie January 25, 2005 Share January 25, 2005 i just changed to Dz101 215/45/R16 on Friday. Previously using ES100. In comparison to ES100, the grip is lesser in the dry. In the wet, have yet to rain. hahaha... However, in terms of noise, it is less. Comfort is much better. Quite happy in terms of changing to DZ101, though it is slightly mre expensive than ES100. so i guess you find the ES100 a superior tire right? thats what my fren's opinion too... Ddt121 Neutral Newbie January 25, 2005 Share January 25, 2005 haha.... yes indeed. but in terms of road noise, DZ101 is much lesser. thus, it is more suitable for day to day use yet performance oriented. but then again, only time will tell. ↡ Advertisement
