Danieltan07 Neutral Newbie July 8, 2005 Share July 8, 2005 so how is your installation getting on?
Syshi Neutral Newbie July 8, 2005 Share July 8, 2005 After Dickson rectify the installation, it worked perfectly. Seems like when he connect the grounding of the bonnet detector, there was some problem. My Friend's IST which was installed the same time, finished within 1.5 hours, and neater.... Seems like Dickson more familiar with IST setting already... Anyway, how is your Boot release kit? After install, anymore problem? BTW, my friend's installation and Remote no problem at all... To think that I was the one passing him the whole sets... If I know, I will swap it first... No choice... now, waiting for Ben to get back the remote... Can't wait already... Danieltan07 Neutral Newbie July 8, 2005 Share July 8, 2005 boot release and promoxity have not installed yet. Dickson is coming to my place to install later about 10+. hopfully everyhting will be ok. at the same time, will ask him to resolve: - my shock sensor (reposition it) - parking light (when arm or disarm the alarm, the light does not blink) - when the alarm is arm, and i open the boot, the alarm will not be activiate. sigh yet still waiting for the boot release. i dont think you want to give your friend the 'fault' set, right? Bluemice 2nd Gear July 8, 2005 Share July 8, 2005 "BTW, my friend's installation and Remote no problem at all... To think that I was the one passing him the whole sets... If I know, I will swap it first... Furious No choice... now, waiting for Ben to get back the remote... Can't wait already... " guys, dun mind me say this. its quite normal for the CSP remote to die. till date , i hv encountered two frens(read as humans that i noe...ha ha) with DOA(dead on arrival) remotes, both keep resetting itself, while the worst one refused to be prog. initially. i also noe of another guy hu returned abt 5/10 of remotes that he brought in during a MO. Think the prob lies in CSP's factory outgoing QA pple. kinda depends on luck, who is getting which set... mice
Bluemice 2nd Gear July 8, 2005 Share July 8, 2005 - parking light (when arm or disarm the alarm, the light does not blink) This could be due to harware/software setting. Hardware( assume s/w set to ON blink) - incorrect diode selection, or disconnected/connected wrongly. take note that the diode selection is very impt. my diode died after 3 mth, and when i signal left, the right indicator will also lit up....due to current leakage, chg a new diode ... OK liao Software - setting not set up properly - when the alarm is arm, and i open the boot, the alarm will not be activiate. Software - setting not set up properly, as can set to : (i) just open bott, regardless of arm/disarm. so when arm n open boot = alarm (ii)disarm alarm n open boot, so no alarm, system also disarmed (!!) if u open boot n system still armed, but no alarm = boot "sensor" is not connected to alarm. This one, go knock ur installer head hope u dun mind i kaypoh a bit, wish that i can save u some trouble shooting time. mice
Danieltan07 Neutral Newbie July 8, 2005 Share July 8, 2005 i thought dickson is coming to install my stuffs. in the end, NO. I am very disappointment. i thought i have inform Ben and he said ok. in the end, ben turn up and pass me the stuffs only. what the point of having the sensor and boot release if nobody install it. Software - setting not set up properly, as can set to : (i) just open bott, regardless of arm/disarm. so when arm n open boot = alarm (ii)disarm alarm n open boot, so no alarm, system also disarmed how to do it? When the alarm is arm and i open the boot, the alarm does not activate (but if i open the car door, the alarm will activate) so how? (i suspected that the boot sensor is not connect to the alarm) sigh
Bluemice 2nd Gear July 9, 2005 Share July 9, 2005 so how? (i suspected that the boot sensor is not connect to the alarm) sigh how long is ur delay for sensing circuit ? 5sec or 60 sec(default) This factor sets the time duration to wait before the CSP will start to monitor the doors/boot. I assume 60sec, since its default try this: 1. close all doors n boot, arm. shld not hv alarm trigger. 2. close 3 doors n boot , open 1 door. arm. shld hv alarm trigger, after 60 sec, at car it will chrip, so will the remote. 3. close 4 doors, open boot. arm. shld hv alarm trigger, after 60 sec, at car it will chrip, so will the remote. A. if alarm trigger - boot is connected to sensing circuit B. if no trigger - boot is NOTconnected to sensing circuit. Go get him to add in for u( tok to him nicely, n he will hopefully do FOC, else some shops chg +$30 more) Side note, pls with system armed, giv ur front right tyre(read as rubber part) a light kick. ur romte shld show u "shock" triiger and NOT a normal alarm trigger. Likewise, when boot trigger, it shld show u boot trigger; if door opemn, it shld show u door triiger....... all this is known as zonal alarm trigger. ur installer shld hv it wired this way. NOT any trigger just show alarm only !!!
Bluemice 2nd Gear July 9, 2005 Share July 9, 2005 Software - setting not set up properly - how to resolve this? pls refer to page 18, option 6 of ur installation manual. i tink this might solve ur problem. bro u on NSM ? gimme ur nsm addr, we tok over there betta.... Tankm Neutral Newbie July 11, 2005 Share July 11, 2005 Other than reposition, you can adjust the sensor sensitivity as well. There are two sensitivity adjustments.
