howdy,

I believe there's a shop near Eunos MRT which can modify and install the air-con filter for you. Sorry, i forgot the address and the shop's name. It's facing Changi (???) road...[:)]

Good job. If I may post suggests:

1. Cable to alternator - may be safer have this cable slightly longer and secured to the alternator tensioning bracket. Should the wire come loos of the connector the dangling wire may just come into contact with the live alternator wire.

2. Use wires of same colour as not to cause confusion for mechanics or the next buyer. I always avoid RED unless no choice...

3. It may be better to have the wires just above the exhaust manifold run on the other side of the rocker head cover and secured to the fuel rail instead. Cause if your wires do not have a fairly high temp resistence the heat radiated by the exhaust will brown the insulator and over time make the cable brittle and if the cable breaks or slacks and contacts the extractor you might have smouldering insulation and perhaps a fire.

4. It may be added benefit to locate the points where the engine block is grounded to the chassis and make those as added points as well.

5. Vibrating engines create a variety of potential problems for slack wires so keep them fairly taut and well supported and secured. Avoid suspending wires from one point to another.

6. Avoid (which you have in this case) running the wires in close proximity to the belts and fans.

Its also good practice to check the wire condition periodically as you conduct your other fluid checks. Pays to be safe.
