Galactus 1st Gear December 14, 2004 Share December 14, 2004 hmm... actually i think no need to fix sensor lah the sound can get irritating at times and its also not 100% accurate... think use the good old method ... turn your head...look at the mirrors... is best i got it becos its free and i negotiate hard for it cos i dont want the SA to earn to much ... Do you guys know that actually, reverse sensor, fog light, V-cool and other accessories are actually free. If you dont ask... the SA will just act blur....end of the day those freebies will add into their profit

Psfong Clutched December 15, 2004 Share December 15, 2004 that's quite true, i have already got 1 dent at my rear bumper, right in the center. obviously, the sensor can't detect a anything that's in the center. Also, i noticed that if u reversed out down a slope, the sensor will think that u have hit "something" in the back. Its not intelligent enough to distingush the wall or the floor. Treesmaker Clutched December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 Bro, I had sensors fitted on my Aveo from a shop located at the junction of Bradell Road and Upper Serangoon Road. The charged me $80/- including installation. SA sub-contracts the sensors installation, hifi, keyless to them. Good service and reasonable pricing! Godfinger Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 Aveo dont have keyless entry. The term Keyless means many to others : 1) Controller integrated to key ( Optra ) 2) Infra proximity sensor ( March K-12) 3) Mercedes Keyless Go system 4) Keycard ignition. Alarm system is alarm system. Keyless system is somehow confused within manufacturer. I would say Keyless system is those found on Nissan March ( k12 ) Cefiro and Renault and those car which is w/o ignition key.
Optra Neutral Newbie December 16, 2004 Share December 16, 2004 I just installed the Ren sensor with LCD. I can say no regret ! The sensor is very accurate as I came out from my car and do a few measurement. The LCD shows 4 side of yr car Front Right, Front Left, Back Right & Left with measurement from 1m - 0.3m and also a red Stop warning sign once u reaches 0.2m. Very Fun and no more worries in Parallel Parking anymore ! At least for Parking GoonDoo like me !

Before installing heard alot of ppl saying freaking noisy ,when stopping before traffic light ppl walking by Kao Pey Kao Bu and things like that. All Bull `Swit" lah ! The front sensor is especially useful when u are in crowded places cos squeezing in and out is like a Pro man ! BTW I dont think can switch off ???
