  1. Is this a Parking Idiot? Yes or No? Was the driver selfish in the way he/she parked his/her car, depriving others of a legitimate parking lot?
  2. Hi kindly add if you have know if anymore places with free parking for phase 2 CB Esplanade - Free parking is available daily from 12pm – 3pm and 6pm – 10pm, until 30 Jun 2020 https://www.esplanade.com/visitor-guide/general-advisory Plaza Singapura - Enjoy 1 hour free* parking from 20 June - 31 July 2020 https://www.capitaland.com/sg/malls/plazasingapura/en/concierge/amenities.html
  3. Hi guys, any advise on the above? the nearby serviced apartment is full this mth :(
  4. Bought a brand new car and want to avoid door dings? Or perhaps you're a car enthusiast and want to keep your car away from potential busybodies? You can now create your own private parking space even though you don't live in a private estate! Check out this dude in the video below and how he does this...We wonder what this guy drives that gives him the right to have his own special private parking lot. Whichever car that is going to be parked in that lot at 406 Fernvale Road MSCP better be a nice car... Check out the comments people on SG Road Vigilante have to say! 104247240_2999667930147081_5514356786496781035_n.mp4
  5. Hi bro/sis, Company shifting to MBC (beside PSA, HP building).. So, now I'm busy looking around for nearby parking.. The cheapest I got is $203 per month for Comtech (behind MBC) and I feel that it's a RIP-OFF! Any recommendation for nearby parking? Even if park hourly is significant cheaper, I don't mind.
  6. When there is a will, there is always a way. This sure rings very true for this particular HDB parking offender as shown in the video posted by SG Road Vigilante. Dated on the 3rd of June, the video is pretty much self-explanatory. While we don't know what prompted the Toyota Prius driver to do that, sharp eyed viewers would have noticed that all that madness was quite unnecessary as the gantry opened up towards the end of the 48 second video. As usual, the comments on the page weren't exactly constructive.. But this one was pretty funny. Watch what this guy does here! 102516826_186940102600538_4929118169282379776_n.mp4
  7. Someone has spotted this chrome-wrapped Mitsubishi Evolution 9 MR parking at some motorcycle lots and sent it to SG Road Vigilante. The photo, which was taken on 30th of May 2020, obviously shows the Mitsubishi Evo occupying lots intended for motorcycles. You might be wondering why we are sharing this with you as HDB parking offences are not that big a deal as it is a common occurrence. In fact, we reckon most of us should have some form committed parking offences before and simply sort out our mistake by making an appeal for the parking offence. What is interesting however, are the comments on this photo on SGRV's facebook post, there were more netizens praising how cool the Evo looked or how rare the car is instead of the usual slamming and shaming comments. Don't you love our local car community?
  8. This is why we should always park properly. We were alerted to someone's posts on his facebook page, showing a BMW X6 XDrive35i badly parked at Jurong Point Shopping Center. Like what the photos show, the netizen who is presumed to be driving the Toyota Altis that is parked beside, barely had space to squeeze into his lot. The large BMW SUV had kind of edged into the page owner's lot causing him to be quite pissed. By parking badly, and of course no thanks to the Altis driver, the BMW owner will be having lots of difficulty getting into his car. So What do you guys think of this? Is it fair to 'punish' the BMW driver who ill-parked? Or do you think the BMW driver had made an honest mistake as it simply wanted to be further away from the lorry beside it?
  9. My place here just recently changed to automated parking system... previously car owners will paste the season parking on their car... so with this new automated parking system how to tell if you are season parking holder? Thru the IU?

What did I do wrong when parking?

Quick background; Have 4 kids - 3rd & 4th were twins so have a largish twin pram. Drive an Audi Q7 and the boot door needs a big space for it to swing open upwards. And also cos of the pram, I tend to park with nose in (at least when I can and definitely at home where I have more control). This way there's space to open the boot and load that big ass pram. Stay in a condo where there's plenty of available parking. Most people have two cars and still there's no complaints on number of spaces available. So choices aplenty for everyone. I'm attaching a rough layout of the parking under my block. I've marked out where I park the car 99% of the time (sometimes someone gets there before me in which case, I just find another spot). As mentioned above, I park nose 1st and within the lines marked out. So this morning, I found a note stuck to my windscreen. Note say that I should have the "courtesy" to move forward when parking if I should come early to give the guy coming behind a chance to park I'm sorry, what the heck does he mean by having a courtesy to move forward. I get that he wants me to move to the bay in front of me so that way, he won't have to go around the lift bay and park his car. But how the heck does he know what my requirements are or why I do what I do? If he had the decency to leave his number, I would have explained. But this anonymous bulls**t note saying I'm not courteous cos I'm inconveniencing him by going around the lift block is uncalled for. Or am I wrong?
  11. Today is Sunday, alot of illegal parking in my area, usually I just closed two eyes, but some are downright inconsiderate, blocking ramp for trolleys/wheelchairs for hours with driver nowhere in sight.. Just realized TP dun catch illegal parking anymore, have reported one super inconsiderate illegal parking online at LTA/Onemotoring.. Please report online for any 'inconsiderate' illegal parking, thanks.. Ranting over..
  12. Hi, anyone knows a good place to park full day at Changi Business Park? Or a good place for season parking?
  13. Hi, Anyone knows the season parking rate around Bugis Junction, preferably those outside CBD like Raffles Hospital, ParkView Square, The Gateway.. Thanks!
  14. What's the most important thing? Stick to the end to find out! It's a good one. Like legit. A video uploaded on SG Road Vigilante has sparked a furious debate online that split netizens evenly on two sides of the coin. The video shows a Mercedes-Benz "stealing" a carpark lot from the cam car driver. Or is it really "stealing"? That is the question. The video, which was uploaded last week has since received over 260,000 views and almost 1000 comments! If you haven't seen the video, here’s the link courtesy of SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page Have you been in this situation before? In the video, cam car is patiently waiting for a carpark lot at IMM carpark for about 10 minutes. A White Mercedes-Benz CLS Class pulls up a couple of cars in front of the cam car. When the driver of the CLS (let's call him Mr CLS) spots a family walking towards the area he's waiting at; he decides to reverse to "claim more ground". Needless to say, once cam car driver notices what Mr CLS is doing, cam car inches forward to get the soon-to-be-vacant lot as he was waiting there for a long time already. Mr CLS gives him no chance to do so and reverses into the now-empty parking lot. This extra guy To make matters even worse, someone steps out of the CLS (supposedly the son of the driver) and walks over to cam car to give justification why the lot belongs to the occupants of the CLS instead of the cam car . He even makes a couple of rude gestures to the cam car once that's done. So whose lot is it? Some people say that the CLS had the right of way Calculative sia this guy and very specific too Some people jumped to the defence of the patient cam car driver The most important thing It doesn’t matter who the lot belonged to but we can all agree that on the most important thing....... This guy, is a complete a**hole Thanks Johnson! Couldn't have said so better myself.

  16. Hi, I want to buy over Season Parking at Paya Lebar Square or Singpost Centre at Paya Lebar. If you are selling, please contact me. Thank you.
  17. Hi, I would like to find out more about the usage of the disabled/handicapped parking space/lot. Firstly, I do not have the handicapped sticker/label to stick on the car as I'm not a disabled or handicapped driver. But my grandparents both are having difficulties walking as one is wheel-chair bound while the other sometimes need a wheel-chair or the 4-legged walking support. There was this once when it happens that both are at my relative's place and I'm fetching them home one night. All the available lots were taken up, even the handicapped lots. Finally I waited and one driver went off from one of the handicapped lot and I went ahead to park in it before I called my grandparents to come down to where I parked. This was at the carpark where there is this area allocated for parking with only 2 lanes for incoming and outgoing cars with a continuous single white line in-between where I'm not supposed to park/wait on either side of the road. I don't have the sticker so i can't just park and leave the car there to go fetch my grandparents. As both requires some time to get ready to come down with some assistance so I can only wait for them. Then at this time, there is another car who drove by and both the male driver and his wife stared at me. I was wondering why are they staring at me so sternly? Then the man drove his car very very close to mine, almost scratching the front part of my car. All this while, he was still staring at me. Then his car screeched and stop in front of my car and still staring at me. I'm really wondering what's wrong with this man. Then an old man came down from the car with a walking stick, then I realized why he's been staring at me. I wanted to get off my car and ask if he needs the parking lot so since I'm waiting so let him go first, but his wife came down from the car and stared at me and then he quickly drove round and parked his car opposite mine. I'm really puzzled, then i checked if his car has the disabled/handicapped sticker, he didn't have it. So why is he staring at me all the time? Then when his wife left the old man walking halfway on the path towards the block and quickly went back to the spot where he dropped them, he drove his car quickly again so close to my car (almost scratching) and screeched and stopped in front. Then sped off. I really can't understand this action. I understand that such lots are definitely reserved for those who really need it. But waiting in such lots for handicapped people are also allowed right while they take time to come down? I'd checked with LTA and they said that so long the waiting time is not considerably long and there are no other cars with the disabled parking sticker/label waiting around (if have, i'll have to give way), otherwise it's alright to use it in such situations. But I would still like to check with the people here who are more experienced in their years of driving in terms of morally or driving ethics, can i use the lots for my situation? Would like to hear constructive feedback. If it's not alright for me to do so, how else can I wait for my grandparents when they go to my relative's place again in future? Thanks for taking time to read and reply.
  18. 1st july https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/parking-ura-hdb-car-park-higher-fines-illegal-11654998 Higher fines for parking offences from July: HDB, URA image: data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw== (Photo: Nisha Karyn) 24 Jun 2019 11:21AM (Updated: 24 Jun 2019 11:44AM) Share this content Bookmark SINGAPORE: Motorists who do not abide by parking rules will face higher fines from July, said the Housing & Development Board (HDB) and Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). In a joint press release on Monday (Jun 24), HDB and URA said the move would ensure that “parking fines remain an effective deterrent”. “The fine revision will only affect errant motorists, and will not impact those who abide by parking rules,” they added. ADVERTISING Fines for parking offences were last reviewed in 1991. ILLEGAL PARKING OFFENCES For parking their vehicles illegally, motorists will soon face higher fines of S$35, S$70 and S$100 respectively for motorcycles, cars and heavy vehicles. Advertisement Currently, the fines are S$25, S$50 and S$80. “From 2016 to 2018, an average of about 260,800 notices were issued each year for illegal parking,” said HDB and URA. Such cases included instances where motorists parked their cars in motorcycle or heavy vehicle parking lots, as well as non-season ticket holders who had parked their vehicles at season parking lots. COUPON, DIGITAL PARKING OFFENCES Fines for coupon and digital parking offences will also be raised, said HDB and URA. Currently, drivers of cars and heavy vehicles who park without a valid parking coupon or do not activate a digital parking session would face a S$30 and S$40 fine respectively. From July, the fines will be increased to S$40 and S$50 respectively. There will be no change in the fine quantum for motorcyclists, who currently face a fine of S$8 for such offences. Those who exceed their paid parking sessions will also face stiffer penalties. The current fines for over-parking range from S$6 to $20 for cars, and S$12 to S$40 for heavy vehicles. This will be increased to a range of S$8 to S$24 for cars, and S$16 to S$48 for heavy vehicles. There will be similarly no change in the fine quantum for motorcyclists, who currently face a fine of S$4 for such offences. HDB and URA said that from 2016 to 2018, an average of about 573,000 notices were issued each year to motorists who either did not pay the parking charges or had paid an insufficient amount at coupon parking car parks. “For car parks where the Electronic Parking System (EPS) has not been implemented, motorists can either use parking coupons, the Parking.sg app or the OneService App to pay their parking charges," said the authorities in the press release. PAYMENT EVASION OFFENCES AT EPS CAR PARKS Those who evade payment of parking charges by tailgating other vehicles or bypassing car park gantries at EPS car parks will also face higher fines. Currently, motorcycles, cars and heavy vehicles face a fine of S$25, S$50 and S$80 respectively for such offences. “To further deter errant motorists, the fines will be increased to S$35, S$70 and S$100 for motorcycles, cars and heavy vehicles respectively.” About 4,400 notices have been issued by HDB and URA annually to motorists for evasion of parking charges. 20. Be aware! Millenia walk raises parking fee to $3.30 / hr during COMEX! its kinda entrapment or have I failed to see any big sign saying such raises in parking fee before their car park gantry ?? its written in their website , but who will everyday check their rates if you are a regular customer there?? Was so shocked when I was charged $12++ when I exited the car park after 3+ hours there. 😡
  21. Starting work next week at One Raffles Quay and the season parking there is crazy. Anyone has any idea where cheaper or anyone letting go? Thanks~
  22. I did not know HDB parking rules are so strict https://www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/car-parks/parking-offences/parking-rules-and-penalties: Repairing/ allowing repairs to a motor vehicle in a parking place. ($80 fine) No one is allowed to jump start a car and change to a new car battery. Using a motor vehicle within a parking place for sale or promoting the sale of goods of any kind. ($80 fine) Property agents or taxis with advertisement stickers should beware. Cause/ allow vehicle to be washed in a parking place. ($80) Anyone who engages foreign workers to wash their car at night will have to stop doing that. But I still have not figured out why vans and lorries are allowed to park at loading/unloading bay as long as they want while seasoned parking car owners cannot

As per title, since most modern cars come with reverse/backup camera i.e. the one that activates when put into reverse gear, and front and rear dashcams are considered must-haves for your ride... Is there a reverse/backup camera that also performs dashcam recording function (or vice versa, a rear dashcam that projects bigger image on your ICE when engage reverse gear)?
