Gadgeter 2nd Gear December 21, 2004 Share December 21, 2004 hmmm... then the setup will be: 1 preout (front) - use a 1-to-2 rca connector then join the 4 channel amp. 1 preout (rear) - use a 1-to-2 rca connector then join the 4 channel amp. must really look at your user manual liao. Ghost Neutral Newbie December 21, 2004 Author Share December 21, 2004 Er.. the link in the first post can?? i still haven;t take out the HU leh..
Ace_t Neutral Newbie December 21, 2004 Share December 21, 2004 sorry, the link does not say much. usually you can connect the pre-out to line-in of the amp. by looking at the rear of your HU, you should see Left and Right channels for both the front and rear. The RCA are colour coded for your reference..Right = RED, Left = White.
Ghost Neutral Newbie December 21, 2004 Author Share December 21, 2004 hmmm, maybe later i take a pic of the manual...
Ace_t Neutral Newbie December 21, 2004 Share December 21, 2004 (edited) your present HU has 50W... into 4 ch. are you intending to connect to another amp to drive the speakers ? If yes, then your amp should be 80W per channel or more, else it would be a waste to not use your current HU. Usually 4 channel means 2* front and 2 * rear. from the description, looks like your rear preouts can be configured to a sub woofer, using the Y-connector..2 -to- 1 Edited December 21, 2004 by Ace_t
Ghost Neutral Newbie December 21, 2004 Author Share December 21, 2004 I will be using a lanzar 4 channel amp and bridge to drive the front CDT. while the back i think using the HU can liao.. The link to the amp: http://www.lanzar.com/itempage.asp?MODEL=HTG414
Ace_t Neutral Newbie December 21, 2004 Share December 21, 2004 looks like you have to bridge the Lanzar amps to achieve 300W per channel. BTW, your Lanzar is rated at 75W RMS... pls check that your Kenwood is not rated 50W RMS... coz then it would have not much effect on the power output. ie you can just use your HU to drive the speakers. ↡ Advertisement
